Is there an MLB rule that would prohibit the Yanks from offering Hamilton a 4yr., $100,000,000 contract structured as $30 million in 2013, 2015 and 2016 and $10,000,000 in 2014?
They can do that, but it doesn’t matter towards the 189 self imposed cap. The AAV (average annual value) of the contract counts towards the cap. So its a $25 million a year.
ANY POSSIBILITIES MICHAEL YOUNG CAN COME PLAY THIRD FOR US ?
WHY DO YOU WANT MICHAEL YOUNG SO BAD? HE’S NOT A GOOD PLAYER ANYMORE.

Yes.
Axisa (whoever he is) or Chad Jennings?
If what that guy Mike spoke to is to be believed (and I do) then that bodes very well for Pineda’s shoulder health, stuff and future in pinstripes
Any current minor leaguers in the system likely to be on the 25 man roster in April?
Jayson Nix. Montgomery if the bullpen gets a lot of injuries in spring.
” When’s the last time the Yankees made a move that was universally praised?” When cash treaded Montero for Pineda, till the babies woke.
“Yes, but, isnt there a substantial portion of your income tax on the state the money is earned in?”

“Only for the time you play there. So basically ~81 days a year.

Gotta say the accountants need to catch up to the lawyers there.
