Matt Eddy has a list of updated minor league park factors. High-A Tampa plays in a nearly neutral stadium (George M. Steinbrenner Field), but the other three full season affiliates are all in pitcher’s parks.

Triple-A Scranton was rained out. They’ll make the game up as part of a doubleheader on June 17th.

Why has Gumbs been DH’ing so much.. did he have offseason surgery? Could be answering my own question..

  • YankeeGrunt

Gamel looks like he could be the real deal. He still needs a little more pop if he’s going to have a shot to be more than a bench player, but his BA has crept up every year.

    • Cool Lester Smooth

Yeah, I think we might be talking about him next year the same way we are Ramon Flores right now.

    • Dan Gold

      jjyank likes cock

      • Cool Lester Smooth

        Well, that’s a non sequitur!

      • Jim Is Bored

I think Dan Gold is actually jjyank pulling a fast one on the rest of us.

        • jjyank

I wish. Sadly, someone is actually that obsessed with me.

  • Pseudoyanks

    The Legend of YeiCok…Grows!

  • Now Batting

I probably only care for novelty’s sake but anyone know what’s happening with Venditte? I know he pitched for Italy. Haven’t heard anything since.

    • Anonymous

Still hurt. I think he only pitched lefty in the WBC, but the Yankees don’t really want him doing that. Don’t take that has full fact though.

  • bauer

“only the second time in his career he’s completed seven innings in a start”

They probably do these things for a reason.. but this drives me crazy.

    • Cool Lester Smooth

The reason is that Mitchell can’t throw enough strikes to get through 7 innings before hitting his pitch count.

      • Samuel

That just shows pitch counts are ridiculous.

        • pat

          How so?

          • bpdelia

Don’t want to start an argument but while data does show a decrease in effectiveness after 110 pitches there has never been anything to show a decrease in injuries through pitch and inning counts. Increases in workload yes but nothing else

  • Bob Buttons

Does anyone know if Dugas has Greek, Roman or Norse heritage? Because “God of Walks” seems too plain.

    • Samuel

He is mostly Grorse, a combination of all three.

  • Deathstroke Heathcott

i wish yeicock could make it to the show, you just know sterling would try to go all cocka doodle doo when he hits a homerun

    • Tom from England

Here’s hoping Sterling will be long retired by then…
