Some minor notes, pun intended:
- Both OF Thomas Neal and RHP Mark Montgomery were officially activated by Triple-A Scranton, reports Josh Norris. To clear roster spots, OF Cody Grice was sent to Double-A Trenton and RHP Jose Ramirez was placed on the DL. Not sure what’s wrong with Ramirez.
- Missed this yesterday, but the molten hot 1B Greg Bird ranked sixth on this week’s Prospect Hot Street. We’d be talking about him as maybe the top prospect in the system if he was hitting like this as a catcher, but chances are he wouldn’t be hitting like this if he was still a catcher because of wear and tear. For shame.
