David Phelps scratched from Sunday’s rehab start with sore elbow

5:26pm: Stop speculating. Thunder manager Tony Franklin confirmed Phelps was scratched because of a sore elbow. I guess #obligatorysetback it is. He’s heading for more tests.

5:25pm: David Phelps has been scratched from tomorrow’s scheduled rehab start with Double-A Trenton, the team announced. No reason was given, so feel free to let your imagination run wild. Did he suffer the #obligatorysetback? Is he getting called up? Did someone (Phil Hughes? Joba Chamberlain?) get traded? Did he get traded? Speculate at your own risk.

Well he definitely did not get traded as there are definitely teams that would have claimed him as he has some talent, is cheap and controllable. Hughes or Chamberlain are more likely to get traded.

You can still trade him to the team that claimed him.

True but then you’re looking at either the Astros or White Sox probably. I guess its possible.

          Never mind, didn’t hit refresh.

Its the #obligatorysetback. Sore elbow. Woohoo

This medical staff is unbelievable. So many setbacks. Cashman should fire them before seeing himself out.

My guess, moving him to 3rd base, Nunez to the pen. Time for some creativity!

  • Frank

Jeter also out of the lineup- will miss tomorrow as well with the infamous calf strain.

    • rw

      Stick a fork in him.

My guess is the #obligatoryroadtripinjury. DRob’s arm fatigue probably required amputation or something. At this point anything goes.

  • Adam

Just schedule him for Tommy John surgery and get it over with. We all know that’s where this is headed.

    Done for the years…Where’s Nuno?
