We can’t even keep our minor leaguers off the DL. This injury bug has spread to fans too. Well me any way. Just since May, I’ve fallen out of a tree and broke my thumb, hurt my jaw pretty bad, and had back pain so bad, I passed out later that night. Then I had rotator cuff surgery July 2. Tonight, I was cleaning my gutters when I got stung by bees and fell off the ladder. Luckily, it was the one story part of my house. I still fell from about 6 feet up and fd my back up again. Bad enough that 2 oxycodone, 1 OxyContin, and 3 beers ain’t helping the pain much.

Can we please just wave a white flag now?

  3. Gonzo says:

Just so I can keep my head out of the big league game, Thairo Time!

  4. Rob says:

CF Slade Heathcott: 0-3, 1 R, 1 BB, 1 K, 1 SB — hitting streak is up to ten games.

Was that supposed to be hitless?

  5. Adam says:

The future of this organization looks about as good as the present

  6. Cool Lester Smooth says:

Hey, Slade Heathcott currently has a 101 wRC+! Probably the best part of this season prospect-wise has been Slade staying healthy and holding his own at AA. (Although Sanchez’s first half in Hi-A was none too shabby)

  7. RBP says:

Anyone know if Abi Avellino is thought to be able to stay at SS? How is his fielding?

    • Mike Axisa says:

He’s a very good fielder, that’s why they signed him. No one really thought he could hit at the time, but his bat has developed way better than anyone expected.

  8. Isaac says:

So i’m guessing, Culver/Gumbs to Tampa next year, Wade/Katoh to Charleston and Avelino to SI?

    • Rick in Philly says:

Culver/Gumbs to Tampa. The SS/2B situation at Charleston will probably have more to do with how well the Yankees think they can handle the jump from the GCL to a full-season league. Regardless of who it is, the Yankees will probably field one of the youngest keystone combos in A- next year.

  9. Richard Leo says:

Brandon Thomas or Michael O’Neill, which one you prefer?

  10. Chris says:

Why aren’t they giving Dan Johnson a crack?

  11. nycsportzfan says:

Another kinda blah night in prospect land. Caleb Smith continues to be very impressive though.

  12. Nick says:

Culver made Sportcenters was number 2 on top ten plays on sportcenter.
