Two scouting report-esque notes:
- RHP Dan Burawa made an appearance in Baseball Prospectus’ Eyewitness Accounts (subs. req’d): “Overall, Burawa has near elite arm strength and violent stuff. The below-average command will keep him from pitching in the back end of games, but he can be a useful piece in the middle innings.”
- SS Thairo Estrada was in the Helium section of this week’s Prospect Hot Sheet: “[The] Yankees were ecstatic when they were able to get him for $49,000. Estrada’s tools and hitting ability were comparable to players who signed for significantly more money, so he looked like a sleeper coming into the year. With good speed, smooth hands and clean footwork, he projects as a true shortstop, and his bat has been even better than expected.”

Rookie GCL Yanks1 (7-6 loss to GCL Yanks2 in eleven innings, walk-off style) combining the two teams
- SS Tyler Wade: 1-4, 1 2B, 2 RBI, 1 BB, 2 K, 1 SB — seven steals in eight attempts this year
