Robertson out 5-6 days with shoulder tendinitis

By

David Robertson will be out 5-6 days shoulder tendinitis, Joe Girardi announced. He’s already gone for tests and thankfully it’s nothing structural. Considering the current state of the bullpen, losing Robertson for any length of time is devastating.

All you can do is laugh, they lose half their position players and lose every game 2-0, 3-1 for months, then they get a bunch back and lose the entire bullepn and lose every game 9-8 or 12-8.

And done. The season is all about Mo now.

Pitchers weren’t this fragile back in the day.

I wonder what will JoeG say now that he, in his opinion, has been taking care of the bullpen to avoid overworking them and not risk an injury… and Robertson is injuried.

I’m not sure there’s a way to guard against tendinitis. I have it in my Achilles tendons and it’s not something that happens by over-exerting one’s self one day. It just happens. We can’t put this on Girardi.
