Let’s start with some notes:
- RHP Luis Severino has been promoted from Low-A Charleston to High-A Tampa, according to Josh Norris. The 20-year-old had a 2.92 ERA (2.90 FIP) in 61.2 innings for Tampa.
- RHP Brian Gordon has been released, reports Chad Jennings. He had a 4.46 ERA (4.25 FIP) in 72.2 innings for Triple-A Scranton. LHP Jeremy Bleich will take over his rotation spot.
- Meanwhile, RHP Graham Stoneburner has also been released, according to Matt Kardos. The 26-year-old had a 3.92 ERA in 424.2 innings as an organizational arm since being selected in the 14th round of the 2009 draft.
- LHP Wade LeBlanc has elected free agency after clearing waivers and being outrighted off the 40-man roster, the team announced. He was designated for assignment a few days ago to make room on the roster for David Huff.
- RHP Mark Montgomery was placed on the Double-A Trenton DL, says Kardos. No idea what’s wrong with him. Montgomery was demoted after the team signed Heath Bell to a minor league contract.
