A couple quick notes to pass along:
- IF Tyler Wade is coming up to the big leagues, reports Kyle Franko. He’s going to replace the injured Starlin Castro. Also, IF Abi Avelino is going up to Triple-A Scranton and SS Jorge Mateo is going to Double-A Trenton in corresponding moves.
- RHP Zack Littell has been moved back up from High-A Tampa to Double-A Trenton, the team announced. He made one start with the Thunder two weeks ago. The Yankees have to many starters at each level and keep having to shuffle guys around.
- C Kyle Higashioka has inflammation in his back, according to Conor Foley. He went for tests that showed no structural damage. Higashioka is currently on the Triple-A disabled list.

Rookie GCL Yanks East (2-0 win over GCL Braves) here is the roster … the notables: OF Jonathan Amundaray, RHP Yancarlos Baez (he’s a pitcher now, not a shortstop), 1B Steven Sensley, and OF Canaan Smith … this is their Opening Day, so here is their full lineup

- RHP Chad Martin: 0.1 IP, zeroes, 1/0 GB/FB — 2015 30th round pick spent last season with Pulaski and Staten Island (2.30 ERA in 43 innings), now he’s back here … rough
Rookie GCL Yanks West was rained out. I’m pretty sure four of the eight affiliates were rained out on Opening Day this year (Scranton, Trenton, Staten Island, GCL West). Anyway, here’s the roster. The notables: OF Antonio Arias, OF Juan DeLeon, 1B Miguel Flames, and LHP Chaz Hebert (Tommy John surgery rehab). Flames is listed on the roster as a first baseman, not a catcher.
