Tonight, the Yankees wrap up their 2018 preseason schedule with an exhibition game against the Braves at SunTrust Park. They unofficially opened the ballpark with an exhibition game last year, if you remember. Fun Fact: Greg Bird hit the first (unofficial) home run in SunTrust Park history.
Anyway, tonight is the final tune-up before the regular season begins Thursday. The regulars are playing but I’m not sure they’ll play a full nine innings. It might be one of those “get two at-bats then get them out of there” situations. Either way, the final meaningless game of the year is upon us. Here is the Braves’ lineup and here is the Yankees’ lineup:
- DH Brett Gardner
- RF Aaron Judge
- LF Giancarlo Stanton
- SS Didi Gregorius
- C Gary Sanchez
- CF Aaron Hicks
- 1B Neil Walker
- 3B Brandon Drury
- 2B Tyler Wade
RHP Sonny Gray
It s cool and cloudy in the Atlanta suburbs tonight, but there is no rain in the forecast, and that’s all that matters. Tonight’s game will begin 7:35pm ET, and if you’re in the Braves home market, you can watch on FOX Sports South. Otherwise MLB.tv is your only option. Fortunately, MLB.tv is free tonight. Just sign up for a free MLB.com account and you can watch the game. Enjoy.
