Two quick notes to get us started:
- RHP Garrett Whitlock was placed on the High-A Tampa disabled list, the team announced. Not sure what’s wrong with him. Getting injury updates from Tampa is like pulling teeth. Hopefully it’s nothing serious.
- During an interview with Mark Sanchez, RHP Trevor Stephan said he is on a 150-inning limit this season. Seems like a lot. Last year’s third rounder had a 2.98 ERA (3.67 FIP) in 45.1 innings going into tonight’s start.
