OF Mason Williams has been promoted to Triple-A Scranton. I can’t help but worry this means bad news is coming for Jacoby Ellsbury. They wouldn’t promote Williams when Slade Heathcott is going to be sent back down in two weeks, right? Hopefully I’m just going crazy.
Triple-A Scranton (4-3 win over Durham in ten innings, walk-off style)
- CF Mason Williams: 1-5, 1 R

- RF Tyler Austin: 2-5, 1 2B, 1 RBI, 2 K — hopefully he’s starting to heat up

- 1B Dante Bichette Jr.: 2-4, 1 BB, 1 K, 1 E (fielding)
- SS Cito Culver: 0-4, 1 E, 1 K — currently in an 0-for-44 slump (!!!) … he hasn’t had a hit since April 25th, though, in fairness, he did spend two weeks on the DL earlier this month

- RHP Kyle Haynes: 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 3 K, 1/1 GB/FB — 15 of 21 pitches were strikes (71%) … 22/14 K/BB in 22.2 innings for the guy the Yankees got in last year’s Chris Stewart trade
- RHP Johnny Barbato: 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 1 K, 3/1 GB/FB — 19 of 26 pitches were strikes (73%) … 21/10 K/BB in 21.2 innings for the guy who came over in the Shawn Kelley trade
