Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders Game One (5-4 loss to Rochester in eight innings)

  • SS Tyler Wade: 1-3, 1 R, 1 BB, 2 K, 1 E (fielding)
  • LF Clint Frazier: 0-3, 1 BB
  • 3B Brandon Drury: 0-3, 1 BB, 3 K — he is 2-for-12 (.167) with nine strikeouts in his last four games
  • 1B Mike Ford: 1-4, 1 R, 1 HR, 2 RBI — took old buddy Zack Littell deep
  • DH Adam Lind: 0-3, 1 R, 1 BB
  • LHP Justus Sheffield: 3.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 3 K, 6/1 GB/FB — 29 of 51 pitches were strikes (57%) … he left the game with an injury … here’s video of his final pitch, doesn’t look like there’s anything wrong there … there’s no update on him yet, though that’s not unusual for a minor league injury … UPDATE: Conor Foley says Sheffield was removed as a precaution with a little tightness in his shoulder … there are no tests scheduled at the moment and it’s not believed to be anything serious … exhale
  • RHP Gio Gallegos: 1 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 2 K, 1/0 GB/FB — 15 of 31 pitches were strikes (48%) … first game in a while after dealing with groin and back problems

  • LF Clint Frazier: 3-3, 2 R, 2 2B, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 1 BB — here’s video of the first double and the homer … the exit velocity on the homer was 110 mph according to DJ Eberle

  • 3B Brandon Drury: 1-2, 1 R, 1 HR, 4 RBI, 1 BB — here’s video of the grand slam … he played the field in both ends of the doubleheader, so he can’t be feeling too terrible
