New stadium, on target, to feature familiar Yankee Stadium field dimensions

Triple-A Scranton (5-0 loss to Charlotte)
Wilson Betemit, Nick Green & Greg Porter: all 1 for 4 – Betemit drew a free pass … Porter doubled
Brett Gardner, Cody Ransom, Chris Stewart: all 0 for 4 – Gardner walked & K’ed twice … Ransom & Stewart each K’ed three times
Jason Lane: 2 for 3, 1 BB
Eric Duncan: 0 for 3, 1 BB, 1 K, 1 E (throwing)
Matt Carson: 2 for 4 – 6 for 10 since the promotion
Dan Giese: 6 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 4 K, 1 WP, 1 HB – picked a runner off first … 52 of 78 pitches were strikes, exactly 2 out of 3
David Robertson: 1.2 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 2 Er, 2 BB, 2 K, 1 WP – one off the walks was intentional … 24 of 42 pitches were strikes (57.1%)
Steven Jackson: 1.1 IP, 1 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 0 K – stranded both inherited runners

Double-A Trenton (9-5 win over Erie)
Ramiro Pena, Chris Malec & Joe Muich: all 2 for 5, 1 R, 1 RBI – Pena doubled & K’ed … Malec doubled & committed 2 fielding errors
Austin Jackson: 3 for 5, 1 R, 1 RBI, 1 K, 1 SB – back from being a little under the weather
Colin Curtis & Cody Ehlers: both 1 for 4, 1 R, 1 RBI – Ehlers hit a 2-run jack, meaning 17 of his 25 hits have gone for extras
Jose Tabata: 3 for 4, 1 R, 1 2B, 1 RBI, 1 K, 1 CS – picked off first … he’s now 7 for his last 12
Kevin Russo: 2 for 3, 1 R, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 1 CS – all he does is hit
George Kontos: 5 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 11 K, 1 WP, 2-2 GB/FB, 1 E (pickoff) – starting to round into form
Mike Gardner: 2 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 4 K, 2-0 GB/FB
Eric Wordekemper: 2 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 2 K, 1-3 GB/FB

High-A Tampa (3-2 win over Jupiter, walk-off style)
Damon Sublett: 0 for 3, 1 BB – still looking for the Sublett that owned the NY-Penn League last year
Eduardo Nunez & Kevin Smith: both 0 for 4 – Nunez K’ed once, Smith thrice … Smith also committed an error hen he missed a catch
Mitch Hilligoss: 0 for 1, 3 BB, 1 SB
Kyle Anson: 1 for 3, 1 R, 1 BB
Andres Perez & Tim Battle: both 2 for 4, 1 R – Perez K’ed once … Battle clubbed a walk-off two run job, was picked off first & K’ed twice (of course)
Eric Hacker: 2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 2 K, 3-0 GB/FB – picked a runner off first … just when he was starting to put it all together, it looks like he’s hurt again
Mark Melancon: 2 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 1 K, 5-0 GB/FB – considering that command is the last thing to come back after TJ, it’s impressive that he’s only walked 5 batters in 21 IP
Wilkins Arias: 3 IP, zeroes, 5 K, 1-3 GB/FB

Low-A Charleston (5-4 win over Hickory)
Abe Almonte: 3 for 5, 1 R, 1 RBI, 1 CS – 8 for his last 14
Carmen Angelini: 2 for 4, 1 E (throwing) – looks like the rough start is behind him
Justin Snyder & Brian Baisley: both 0 for 3, 1 BB – Snyder K’ed … Baisley scored a run
Jesus Montero: 1 for 4, 1 RBI
Brandon Laird & David Williams: both 1 for 4, 1 R, 1 2B, 1 K
Wady Rufino: 2 for 4
Austin Krum: 1 for 4, 1 R, 1 HR, 3 RBI
Dellin Betances: 5.2 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 7 BB, 4 K, 1 HB, 4-8 GB/FB – just one of those nights
Wilkins DeLaRosa: 2.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 3 K, 1-3 GB/FB – 29 K in 18 IP
Jon Ortiz: 1 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 1 K
