Triple-A Scranton was rained out. The game was canceled and will not be made up.
Double-A Trenton (10-2 win over Hartford)
- SS Tyler Wade: 2-5, 2 R — 12-for-33 (.364) in his last eight games, so he’s not fading late like he did a year ago
- CF Dustin Fowler: 2-5, 2 R, 1 2B — up to .285/.317/.450 while playing in a big time pitcher’s park
- 3B Miguel Andujar: 2-4, 3 R, 1 2B, 2 RBI, 1 BB, 2 K — 7-for-20 (.350) during his little five-game hitting streak
- DH Abi Avelino: 1-5, 1 R, 1 2B, 1 K
- RHP Will Carter: 6 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 3 BB, 3 K, 11/2 GB/FB — 46 of 82 pitches were strikes (56%), plus he picked a runner off first … he’s having success in Double-A one year after being a 14th round pick … nice find by the scouting staff
- LHP Caleb Smith: 3 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 5 K, 1/3 GB/FB — 27 of 44 pitches were strikes (61%) … 57/17 K/BB in 52.1 innings

- LHP Josh Rogers: 6 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 6 K, 1 WP, 1 E (pickoff) — 55 of 76 pitches were strikes (72%) … the Yankees were able to sign him at the last minute as their 11th round pick for an above-slot $485,000 bonus last year, and that investment is looking pretty good right now
Low-A Charleston (9-2 win over Greenville)
- DH Ricardo Ferreira: 4-5, 1 R, 1 2B, 2 RBI — had been in a 5-for-33 (.152) slump
- SS Hoy Jun Park: 1-5, 1 R, 3 K, 1 SB — he’s 30-for-32 (94%) in steal attempts … only Mateo and the recently released OF Lane Adams have more steals in the system this year (both have 31)
- 3B Mandy Alvarez: 2-5, 1 R
- LF Alex Palma: 3-5, 2 R, 1 2B, 1 HR, 3 RBI — the Yankees gave him an $800,000 bonus back in 2012 … this has been a really awesome season in the system overall, awesome enough that Palma’s breakout is easy to overlook
- RF Jhalan Jackson: 2-4, 1 R, 1 2B, 1 BB, 1 K
- C Luis Torrens: 1-5, 1 R, 1 2B, 2 RBI, 2 K, 1 PB — signs of life
- RHP Adonis Rosa: 6 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 9 K, 2 HB, 5/2 GB/FB — 63 of 85 pitches were strikes (74%) … 53/12 K/BB in 60 total innings for the 21-year-old … he needs more attention

- RHP Jonathan Padilla: 6 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 5 K, 7/5 GB/FB — 54 of 76 pitches were strikes (71%)

- SS Wilkerman Garcia: 1-4, 1 K
- CF Estevan Florial: 1-3, 2 K — threw a runner out at first
- DH Blake Rutherford: 1-3, 2 K — this is his first game in 13 days due to what was reported as a knee injury … he never was placed on the DL, so it couldn’t have been THAT bad
- 3B Dermis Garcia: 0-3
- 1B Brandon Wagner: 1-2, 1 BB
- LF Leonardo Molina: 1-3, 1 R, 1 K, 1 SB — 9-for-21 (.429) in his last six games

Rookie Pulaski Game Two (1-0 loss to Princeton in ten innings)

- 3B Dermis Garcia: 2-4
- RF Isiah Gilliam: 0-3
- 1B Brandon Wagner: 0-4, 3 K
- LHP Phil Diehl: 5 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 7 K, 4/1 GB/FB — 35/4 K/BB in 23.2 innings for this year’s 27th round pick … I guess you can say Phil can really (shades) Diehl
