Shelley set for 2008

By

After a terrifying bout with a blot clot in his arm, Shelley Duncan says he’s ready to go for the 2008 campaign. This is great news for Duncan, good news for the team, and bad news for the forearms of his teammates.

    Shelly Duncan=sleeper for ROY

While that would be cool, I don’t think he has a shot. Between Joba, Clay, Longoria, and Jay Bruce, Shelley just isn’t talented enough to have an impact like those 4 (and possibly others) can have.

Jay Bruce of course is in the national league, but the other three still remain

I could be wrong, but I think Shelley has too much service time to be ROY eligible. The cut off is 45 days BEFORE Sept 1st, so he might just miss the cut I’m too lazy to check.

If any Yankee is going to win ROY, it’s IPK.

        Mike A…
It wouldn’t surprise me if IPK were to win it. Most people would pick Joba, and he has the best chance, with all he has going for himself. IPK will surprise people, Joba…if he is healthy…will just overpower hitters. It could be a coin flip.

I hope they both do so well that it is a close call. This would be very good news for the Yanks. IPK, Joba, Phil great days are coming…if they all stay healthy. 27/08

        Isn’t Joba eligible too?

        • Old Ranger

Yes, I had said he would likely win R.O.Y over IPK. But maybe not if he is in the BP to long. Goodness, I hope he isn’t.

I just love that Scott Proctor, Tanyon Sturtze, and Mike Myers are in LA for spring training.
