Nicky J’s right back at it

By

Former Yank Nick Johnson just doubled home the first run in Nationals’ Park history in his first at-bat after missing ’07 with the broken leg. He worked the count back to 3-2 after being down 0-2 before picking up the historic knock. Just like old days.

I’ve got a soft spot for the Nationals. They’ve been kicked around by Major League Baseball and fans for a long time and I’d love to see them and have some success.

too bad young showed up to camp out of shape and his diabetes are thought to be an even bigger issue for him. he’s pretty much done for and the nationals will probably keep NJ.
