Fucking A-Rod. Now we can’t have the show unread comments feature for the rest of the night.

handtius says:

He broke it?! Just like all Yankees fans Hearts.

e mills says:

def broke it b/c of the roids

Bob Stone says:

I thought the site got bogged down – couldn’t refresh

Raf says:

Longoria crushed that homer. looks like he might be back close to full strength

OmgZombies says:

Absolutely perfect timing for Arod to get a hit.

Reggie C. says:

yankeefan91 Arod fan says:

Come on Cc quick inning right here.

Chris says:

I’m confused. I was under the impression that the game was over when the Yankees trailed 1-0 in the second. I guess the rumors were right, and they do actually play 9 innings.

JobaWockeeZ says:

The new rule said that when the Red Sox score they win…but they haven’t upheld it. I r confused too.

Pasqua says:

Red Sox are protesting.

Raf says:

are we basically seeing Cervelli become CC’s personal catcher?

e mills says:

Dorian says:

180 million reasons why

That’s a double with Bobby Abreu out there.

Jay J says:

K-BALL!! let’s go, fuck this Shrek fag.

handtius says:

Come on man, no gay bashing.

Andrew says:

CC is still the player the game.

Jeremy says:

This David Oritz person seems to cause a lot of problems for us.

0-2 hits = hair pullers.

But then again, CC has very little hair…

BigBlueAL says:

Of course Papi hits rockets against the Yankees and cant hit a beach ball against every other team in the MLB.

Accent Shallow says:

Seriously, what the hell?

I thought I read an article with a scout saying his bat speed is gone, and another one how his fly balls, liners, and fliners are travelling less distance this year?

yankeefan91 Arod fan says:

Jay J says:

Michael Kay wasnt so excited when A-Rod had the hit… shouldn’t one of us be the broadcaster?

mick says:

Michael Kay is a secret Yankee hater!

Actually, I think the problem is that he’s a huge Yankee fans, and overcompensates when he attempts to sound unbiased.

Yeah, but the announcer is supposed to be excited when the home team does well. I mean, he’s broadcasting to the team’s fans. They don’t want to hear that monotonous shit.

mick says:

handtius says:

Yeah, he gre up in the Bronx around the corner from the stadium. Says he’s not a fan anymore, but I don’t know about that.

Mike HC says:

Whenever the camera turned to Torre during the games, he always came off as being very calm. The guy would be drinking tea for half the game. Whenever the camera turns to Girardi, you can actually watch him age right before your eyes. He is wound up so tight. I’m not saying which one is better, or if one strategy is better than the other, I am just saying it is a noticeable difference.

BigBlueAL says:

Girardi always standing up with his arms crossed too looking pissed as fuck.

Jay J says:

Baldelli looks stupid!

Bob Stone says:

Umpire is calling more strikes – he must want to get out of the rain.

Raf says:

Accent Shallow says:

Looks like Cervelli hangs out with Joba.

Yankees_Universe says:

I have always wondered why Joba can’t move his target to Veritak once in a while from Youkilis…he is so over due for one on numbers..

Bob Stone says:
Yankees_Universe says:

Some one needs to drill Veritak once in a while..

pat says:

Dorian – in your response to your last post last thread. Yes I FAILED, I’ll take that all day everyday baby.

Dorian says:

I would have as well lol

Dorian says:

yankeefan91 Arod fan says:

I think hes going for the complete game tonight even if it takes 130 pitches like halladay the other day.

Nady Nation says:

CC is so fucking awesome, even though he doesn’t want to be in NY.

JobaWockeeZ says:

Untrue. The Angels made a good offer for him so we had to apy more. Plus he moved his family in the area.

Nady Nation says:

Jay J says:

Varitek is unproductive, no luck in him, youkilis, full of luck, hit youkilis.

Double T says:

CC has pitched awesome but a few more runs won’t hurt at all.

Jake H says:

C.C has been worth every single penny.

dkidd says:

good luck getting cc out of this game, joe

Reggie C. says:

Molina can take his time in Tampa … i get the feeling that CC wants Cerv around.

e mills says:

http://riveraveblues.com/2009/.....ent-417401

No way!!! It can’t be that way b/c Posada is god!

e mills says:

not saying Posada’s not, but sometimes pitchers do prefer pitching to a certain catcher

You have really put that link to use tonight.

e mills says:

just twice and just for you

Jay J says:

put a 10 spot on this bullpen, watch how they’re not #1 anymore.

yankeefan91 Arod fan says:

That number looks so weird on Saito.

Damn, it’s coming down.

Damn, it’s coming going down.

pat says:

MEET ME AT THE MALL

Watching on YES bonuscam–watching Girardi shake from side to side is priceless.

YankeeScribe says:

Cervelli handles pitchers better than Posada

BigBlueAL says:

Ibanez with a 2-out, 3-run HR in the 10th inning. Amazing.

Accent Shallow says:

Guess he’s pissed about everyone talking about how bad his contract was.

Raf says:

or the steroid accusations

MattG says:

Eckersley is a pretty good announcer. NESN does a decent job…at least on days when Jerry Remy is off.

Zach says:

I enjoy Eckersley, he’s like what the hell just throw it

Remy is off recovering from surgery for lung cancer.

Accent Shallow says:

Saito looks huge, but he’s only 6′1″.

Also, I expected his stuff to be a lot nastier, given some of the lines he’s held hitters to. For example, his 2007: RHB had a .329 OPS against him. That’s right, OPS. Maybe it’s the deceptive delivery.

About 5′5″ of that is his legs.

The weird thing is that he was just a garden variety middle reliever in Japan, nothing special at all. Older guy whose career was coming to and end, and wanted to give US ball a try.

How can you be garden-variety with hi-90s FB with a deadly split and impeccable control/command?

Accent Shallow says:

http://www.thebaseballcube.com.....itoh.shtml

Look at the man’s stats. I don’t know what changed between then and his time as a Dodger, but something had to, right?

Zach says:

This is a different Saito then 2007, he has a torn elbow ligament and had the same procedure Nady is having right now.

Andy Stankiewicz says:

Darling said that Ibanez the best free agent signing in all of baseball including Teixera.

BigBlueAL says:

Well for the money spent you cant argue with his assumption.

Yes, you can. You’re paying $36M for his decline years. He won’t be this good when he’s 39, and he’s no good on the basepath or the field. No one said the deal would be bad for this year, but it will get ugly starting next year.

Yeah, but do you remember people saying the Yanks would regret the last two years of the Damon deal? Yeah, Ibanez is older, but it’s still the same idea.

But Damon can run and has range, and his bat, even at that time, would play passably at a corner. Ibanez has no ability outside of his hitting tools.

MattG says:

Yes, 11% of the way into his contract, it is time to definitively declare that.

Andy, did you get that much-needed nose job yet?

Dorian says:

Do you play defense too in baseball?

manimal says:

BUT HE DOES PED’s!

For real though, he was the best considering there wasn’t much buzz about him and he has had himself a great year so far. Everyone questioned the signing and it has payed off big time. Better than Tex though? I dunno

Dorian says:

Yesterday I stated that all I wanted was for C.C to stand on the mound at the end of the 9th inning pump his fist and shout obscenities.

dkidd says:

they have to stop this game, don’t they?

No, because then they have to take CC out.

Matty Ice says:

Man, Matsui has missed some pitches this game he should’ve had….

JobaWockeeZ says:

Well at least he got a single.

Jay J says:

hey, we hit the big green thing out there…

Double T says:

I love hearing a pin drop in that dump here’s hoping Melk Man cashes in.

Accent Shallow says:

2008 Melky swings at that pitch.

handtius says:

Nice catch by Roc.

Jay J says:

Baldelli hasnt run out of luck…

Raf says:

man good catch by Baldelli. horrible route to get to it

Double T says:

eh nice rescue catch I thought that was getting by

I did not think he would catch that.

JobaWockeeZ says:

Mike HC says:

Damn. Sick play. That hit was slicing fast

pat says:

Fuuuuck. Melky has been robbed a couple times this series.

Jay J says:

shouldve hit it to one-nut lowell.

DGeezy says:

wow there is no way i thought baldelli makes that play..since he cant kill us with his bat anymore, he robs us in the field pffft

manimal says:

Why isnt gardner running for matsui?

handtius says:

Because Matsui is FAST!!!

Zach says:

he’s probably going to CF for defense with Melky moving to RF

Zach says:
handtius says:
Zach says:

i tell myself that everyday

You can’t be right. No one but Axl can be right. Everyone knows that.

Reggie C. says:

Baldelli will miss a week of games.

Jay J says:

“they’ll play through this unless it starts to pour”, what does Kay call this?

Do you think some sort of byproduct of stem cell research could help Baldelli’s condition?

handtius says:

I wouldn’t doubt it. A hospital in England has been doing a trial with contact lenses soaked in a culture of stem cells and it has cured blind people and restored vision in people who were nearsighted. That’s fucking CRAZY!

Zach says:

A.D. says:

In all seriousness stem cells or RNAi technology allows almost anything to be possible at this point, since there’s so much promise and a lot of unknown.

MattG says:

OK, my five minute tape delay over–Baldelli got a bad jump on that ball. Spectacular catch on a slightly difficult play.

Bob Stone says:

If they call the game, the Yanks win? It doesn’t get suspended and finished later does it? Like in the World Series?

Yankees_Universe says:

It can’t be called if the visiting team is leading and home team hasn’t batted.

Zach says:

It can only be called at the end of an inning?

Bob Stone says:

Don’t they go back to the last complete inning as long as it is 5 innings or more?

Yankees_Universe says:

Nope…It happened couple years ago in Baltimore..they played remaining innings few months later..

A.D. says:

It’d be a Yanks W at this point.

Bob Stone says:

That’s what I thought

handtius says:

They won’t call it. It’s against the rules in Boston.

Jay J says:

Over/Under 1K for Sabathia this inning.

handtius says:
handtius says:

with that pitch, I believe so.

handtius says:

Double T says:

Mexican Gangster up

Raf says:

wow that was a horrible swing

Jay J says:

hey, lets sign nick green, he’s lucky…

yankeefan91 Arod fan says:

Y couldnt he hit when he was with us.

This is CC’s game. No messing around with Al freaking Aceves.

Raf says:

CC straight to Mo. no other way

handtius says:

I trust Al, but I think CC can handle it.

Jay J says:

that 2nd pitch to PEDroia wasnt a strike?

Double T says:

His grittiness made it a ball

pc69 says:

This is just stupid leaving CC in this game.

Dorian says:

no my friend. you are unintelligent.

pc69 says:

Yes, I am unitelligent. Your ACE is approaching 120 pitches in the rain, with zero outs in the 8th, missing the zone, so yes I am unintelligent. And now he has runners at 1st and 2nd, no outs, luckily did not pull a hamstring on a wet field.

Jesus fucking christ you fucking people do nothing but sit and attack every mother fucking comment. Get a fucking grip. There is NOTHING unintelligent about my post.

Charlie says:

i couldn’t agree more.

yankeefan91 Arod fan says:

Joe this is CC’s Game leave him in there.

YankeeScribe says:
DGeezy says:

im praying for one

Chip says:

CC not going to be in there for much longer

handtius says:

Dustin Pedroia is NOT the toughest hitter to strike out. Ever heard of Albert Pujols?

Yankees_Universe says:

wtf is with this midget…get him out cc on next pitch

Jay J says:

Kay, can you announce for the red sox… fuckin christ.

mick says:

He is so boring he should announce for the Wall Street Journal company softball team.

Dorian says:

Chip says:

Tough spot for Aceves to be coming in here

DGeezy says:

leave him in for drew, hopefully we can get a GIDP

handtius says:

shize. midgets and their tiny strike zones.

You really should bring Mo in for this inning.

Andy Stankiewicz says:

I hate Pedroia but that was a great AB.

pat says:

good ab by pedroia

yankeefan91 Arod fan says:

Raf says:

atta boy, let him pitch

Chip says:

Wow, absolutely shocked CC is staying in here.

Zach says:

yankeefan91 Arod fan says:

Jay J says:

figures… luck > skill.

DGeezy says:

ugh this is not good

BigBlueAL says:

Some optimism, anyone, please?

handtius says:

Jake H says:

I hate the red sox so much.

Double T says:

E-ROC says:

Chip says:

Well that one backfired on them

e mills says:

pc69 was correct again

Accent Shallow says:

Aceves? Well, here’s a test . .

Raf says:

ugh not what i want to see. i trust aceves but against youk and bay…

manimal says:

CC lost the bite on his fastball toward the end.

BigBlueAL says:

Thats what happens when you throw over 120 pitches in a stressful ass game.

sic says:

fuck. now the gangster to face youkilis. im shitting bricks.

pat says:

From the Mexican League to 2 on no out bottom of the 8th inning in Fenway Alfredo Aceves this is your life.

Tom Zig says:

Now I understand that you don’t want to use Rivera for 6 outs…but doesn’t this count as the at-bat of the game here?

bxpd says:

I’m with you. This is the game right here. Bring Mo in now.

pc69 says:

Yep, atta boy let him pitch. 1 run in already zero outs and tying run at second.

Jake K. says:

Why not go to Mo here?

I’m sorry, you have to go to your best reliever here. This is the save situation.

Ant says:

Ummm this is why the closer mentality is retarded. You should be bring Mo in this situation and then have Aceves face the bottom of the lineup. Unbeleiveable

JobaWockeeZ says:

What do they do? Aceves for 6 outs or Mo for the 9th?

Jay J says:

you know CC is a beast, but after the first hit, you pretty much made sabathia throw BP…

Chip says:

If Girardi were coaching the Red Sox, he’d bunt right here

DGeezy says:

im not feeling so hot about this, 1st & 2nd none out, aceves vs youk in a 1 run game..please work your magic mexican gangster

Bill R says:

I can’t handle this!!!!!!!!!!

manimal says:

This is a situation where wang could be useful in the pen. Try to get the DP.

No, this is a situation where using Mariano would be the best option because the opponent’s best hitters are up with the tying run on second and the go ahead run on first.

Matty Ice says:

Wang in the pen in this situation??

Do you want them to hit a 3 run homer?

E-ROC says:

C’mon Aceves!!!!!! Please!!!!

Hova says:

I have faith in the Mexican Gangster. He doesn’t mess around. Come out throwing strikes and shut the Sox down. Viva la Mexico!

Dorian says:

Don’t second guess the move now people. There was nobody I wanted on the mound but C.C

I don’t think anyone’s mad about keeping CC in. I’d rather Mo be in instead of Aceves.

Accent Shallow says:

To reiterate what everyone else said, I’d much rather see Mo here, and someone else for the 9th. Unfortunately, no one’s gonna use a closer like that . . . once he’s in, he’s staying in.

Marc says:

For the love of Mo, Can’t we have two innings of Mo?!?!

Double T says:

Girardi is gonna live or die with this decision I’m hoping the Gangster gets after these fools

No way you go to Rivera here. Shit happens in Fenway Park, and this 8th inning has the same amt. of pressure that the 9th has.

Jay J says:

as manager, im happy with 1 ER in 7 innings from my ace… 9,1,2 coming up… why not your set up man… doesnt make sense, i can see if CC had 90 pitches, but 100+…

JobaWockeeZ says:

CC has always been pitching +100 pitch games.

Hova says:

Man. I don’t know what to say. We can’t catch a break. What do we have to do to get just one win against this team? So frustrating. Can something go in our favor just for once? Like holding a lead for more than an inning?

Not gonna knock CC. He pitched a great game and ran out of gas. Just another tough break.

BigBlueAL says:

God if Aceves blows this, ESPN and Francessa will be horrible to listen to and you know why….

Accent Shallow says:

1st and 2nd no out and a run already in is a damn difficult situation.

yankeefan91 Arod fan says:

We need a triple play :P

Ant says:

Seriously, what the hell are you doing Girardi!?!?!?! Phil Coke up???

Jay J says:

CC is great at pitching 100+ but 2 longer than usual innings, rain, and 9,1,2, shoulda went fresh with set up.

Reggie C. says:

Cut some heads off Aceves!!! I know its in your blood!

TJ says:

Joe should have pulled CC, and let Aceves start the inning, at least he should have pulled CC after allowing a baserunner, not wait until a run gets knocked in with no outs.

Zach says:

you’re so good at second guessing

Nick L says:

but if CC had gone 1-2-3 you would have said girardi was a genius for keeping him in through a high pitch count.

John says:

Cmon Ace…show them our pen is better!

Double T says:

Girardi looks like he’s gonna mix and match his way through this 8th

manimal says:

Bill R says:

C’mon! we cant load the bases with no outs!

That was not a strike.

Ant says:

The way this ump has been calling yes it was

Jay J says:

hmm… got most of the plate… perfect height… we’ll call it a ball.

e mills says:

anyone on Gameday? that was def. a strike

TJ says:

Last pitch was strike 3

V says:

I hate these umpires. Hate them. Hate them. Hate them.

pat says:

alfie drop s nasty hook for a change ive seen you do it many times baby.

pat says:

haha for a strike, too late though.

Raf says:

fuck man. damn this closer in the 9th shit.

JobaWockeeZ says:

This sucks, at least they didn’t score.

manimal says:

Pedroia wouldve been gunned at the plate

The difference between Cabrera’s arm and Swisher’s arm is the difference in the game right now.

E-ROC says:

Can we get a damn groundball?

TJ says:

Bill R says:

I’m going to cry if he hits a granny smith

handtius says:

doesn’t matter a single puts the game out of reach.

Ant says:

All this while the best closer in history of baseball is sitting in the bullpen

John says:

Double T says:

Accent Shallow says:

yankeefan91 Arod fan says:

dammitttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt

JobaWockeeZ says:

DGeezy says:

ugh this is horrible

V says:

Aceves needs to get 5 strikes per AB. Fuck you, umpire.

Jake H says:

How can this team f stuff up this quickly?

handtius says:

This is bad luck nightmare.

BigBlueAL says:

I would have rather have been shutout than taken the lead and blown the game like this. The Red Sox are the Yankees daddy.

Raf says:

this is fucking unbelievable

Dorian says:

WE GOT FUCKIN ROBBED AGAIN.

TJ says:

are we really going to go 0-8

Double T says:

does anyone else want to punch some of these fans in the face or is it just me?

Jay J says:

Youk struck out, this should be bases loaded with 1 out… not tie game, ump fines? please…

E-ROC says:

Not a save situation anymore.

sic says:

manimal says:

Dela G says:

John says:

Ace now needs to throw his curve.

pc69 says:

Left CC in too long.

Lanny says:

And not having any type of bullpen catches up to us.

handtius says:

I’m sorry, Al has been awesome, so don’t start. Go back to not commenting.

Lanny says:

Yea, he was great tonight.

manimal says:

New spill over thread. STAT.

Now put that…down and away.

BigBlueAL says:

Aceves is a solid innings eater out of the pen. He doesnt have the stuff to get out of jams like this.

yankeefan91 Arod fan says:

fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

Double T says:

wow what kind of throw was that?

manimal says:

youve got to be fucking kidding me

ARX says:

John says:

i blame this on Nick fukin Green for that leadoff single

I COULD MAKE A MOTHERFUCKING BETTER THROW THAN THAT!!!!!!!!

TJ says:

Very odd, Yanks seems to be a totally different team v Boston

RAG ARM GARDNER

JobaWockeeZ says:

This is ridiculous

Accent Shallow says:

And Gardner lawn darts it. Argh.

Clearly not Aceves’ night.

Yankee1010 says:

I could have kicked the ball harder than that Gardner.

E-ROC says:

Damn. Grit Gardner.

Charlie says:

This if fucking BULLSHIT. Joe Girardi is a FUckIng dumbass!! Leave your ace out there in the rain after over 120 pitches when he’s clearly out of gas. Fucking unacceptable, i’m tired of this shit. We’ve got a bullpen for a reason, put in D-Rob or Alfie to right when CC shows signs of tiring, not when the game is about to be blown. JOE GIRARDI, YOuR A MOTHERFUCKER.

Zach says:

where were your posts earlier this inning?

Charlie says:

my computer was messed up.

Zach says:
Charlie says:

what the fuck are you talking about?

Zach says:

i said its convient your computer was down when the debate happened, but popped back up when it was time for the second guessing

Charlie says:

shut the fuck up, i’m not second guessing. I wanted CC pulled before the start of the 8th inning to begin with.

(Comments wont nest below this level)

Justin R says:

Oh stop it. If he pulled CC and put Ace in to start the inning and he coughed it up, you would be bitching that he pulled CC.

Nick L says:

Charlie says:

No, i wouldn’t be. You can’t expect someone to be going strong after well over 100 pitches. If Joe wanted CC starting the inning, fine, but if it wasn’t fucking clear that he didn’t have it after nick green got on, it should have been crystal fucking clear after the walk.

What in the fuck was that, Gardner?

sic says:

Jesus Mary and Joseph.

Raf says:

i hate doing this but im throwing some blame on Girardi. you cant leave Mo out there sitting in the pen in that spot.

pc69 says:

Incorrect. Every GM on this blog said burning CC like it was the last game of the year was the way to go. Instead, he was gassed and left the tying and go ahead runs on base.

BigBlueAL says:

Does Drew tag-up if Melky was making that catch in CF????

Zach says:

does Pedroia score two plays before with Swisher in RF?

Ant says:

Wow we really do deserve to lose this game

Dela G says:

this is unbelievable

pat says:

wow gardy, your arm is bad, not that bad.

TJ says:

pc69 says:

There is your game. Should have gone directly to the pen to start the inning.

Double T says:

That throw almost caught the infield dirt and he wasn’t that far away

The Mike Bloomberg ads are making this moment worse.

Bill R says:

I just threw my entire office supply organizer off my desk im so fucking mad! Why was Mo not brought in!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Charlie says:

I’ve got to find something to punch, and fast. I’m convinced that Girardi and the yanks wanted to lose this fucking game.

TJ says:

The crappy part is that Boston isnt that great a team.

YankeeScribe says:

Jobamania says:

lol@gardners arm

and even more lol@bringing in a guy who pitches to contact in this situation.

we need guys who strike people OUT

Aceves: 24.2 IP
24Ks

Drew says:

So shitty. I wish Gardner could have at least made it a play at the plate.

sic says:

why the fuck do we have mo? do get pressure outs. there were no greater pressure outs than the ones that were just given to alfredo aceves.

fucking goddamn it.

bonestock94 says:

Not much to say here besides FUCK!!!

This is why the save rule has ruined managing. Rivera should’ve been in, not Aceves.

Accent Shallow says:

I blame Tony LaRussa. Worst dude.

Marc says:

JOBA TO TEH 8TH!@#@!#!@#!@#!@!!!

No seriously, just give us Mo for 2 innings!@!!

JobaWockeeZ says:

We need to destroy Papelbon.

Joey H. says:

Where are you batting in the order? I’m 7th.

JobaWockeeZ says:

I’m on the bench. Hope you win it for us!

Joey H. says:

Bill R says:

we won’t get a hit, our souls have been crushed

Jay J says:

George Steinbrenner: better bullpen by now.
Cashman: we’ll come around by the 180th game.

Zach says:

how the fuck do you get a better bullpen? oh lets trade for krod

Lanny says:

Having faith in rag tags like Edwar and Veras is good front office skills?

Zach says:

Minus one outing for Veras last year and his ERA was under 3.00, Edwar was acceptable last year, and Bruney is hurt this year, Marte is hurt as well. Juan Cruz was the only guy out there and he has a ERA over 5 in KC.

Bill R says:

PITCH MO THAT’S HOW!

BigBlueAL says:

Sad part is CC’s line is 4 runs in 7 innings and most likely the Loss.

Smitt Dog says:

I’ve defended Girardi many times, but this is on him. Mo should have been out there. I’m not saying hes not the right manager for this team, but this was clearly the wrong call.

Raf says:

oh come on , ortiz swung there

TJ says:

Do we really need Girardi, seems to make some horrible errors in judgment

Charlie says:

NO HE’S THE STUPIDEST MOTHERFUCKING MANAGER I’VE EVER SEEN. I WOULD LITERALLY FIRE HIS ASS.

Charlie says:

by the way i was serious, not sarcastic here

chriskeo says:

more importantly we need to stop the sox rally here

Charlie says:

FUCK JOE GIRARDI. HE SHOULD BE FUCKING FIRED RIGHT NOW!! NO ONE TO BLAME FOR THIS LOSS BUT HIM. GODFUCKINGDAMMI.

pat says:

this one hurts real bad

BigBlueAL says:

Wander if Wang wasnt so horrible last night and Hughes didnt pitch if he wouldve been brought in tonight.

Lanny says:

When has Girardi ever brought Mo into a game in the 8th in a non save situation?

Get over that. We don’t have any type of pen. Aceves is a swingman. Not a shutdown 8th inning set up man.

JobaWockeeZ says:

Lanny! Again another post that is more constructive than others I have seen.

handtius says:

He’s done both actually and done it well.

yankeefan91 Arod fan says:

dammit throw fucking strikes coke.

Drew says:

Coke was clearly not prepared for this, mentally.

E-ROC says:

At least Aceves threw strikes.

handtius says:

Damn. People pitch when CC is pulled, bitching when he’s not. SHUT UP!

handtius says:

Bob C says:

he shouldnt have gone out gotta give the bull pen a chance

Jobamania says:

keeping C.C. in was fine, until he came out to the mound the first time and left him in.

But bringing aceves in? oh cmon

JobaWockeeZ says:

Teix is due for a hut. Let’s hope he blasts one.

JobaWockeeZ says:

*Sigh* ignore that

Hova says:

Agreed. Please don’t second guess Girardi there. CC was dealing and he’s shown he can work out of trouble time and time again. Aceves couldn’t get the job done. Now we just gotta stop the bleeding and score in the 9th.

TJ says:

Maybe Hughes is the 8th inning guy, also what do we do with Wang and his 22 ERA

pat says:

Hova says:

I hope Bruney gets healthy super fast. Aceves has been solid for us, but Bruney has more of an eighth inning makeup IMHO.

Jobamania says:

Why am i not surprised Coke is sucking?

COKE IS TERRIBLE
ACEVES PITCHES TO CONTACT, HE GIVES UP HITS TOO, GENIUS MOVE

Ok, stop fucking around. Bring in Mo.

yankeefan91 Arod fan says:

u walk him on 4 pitches hes not gonna swing at the 3-0 count.

Jay J says:

after the 7th was over, coke or aceves should’ve been in… once u got to the 4th hitter in the inning, u dont bring one of them in than… thats when u bring in Mo. Girardi fucked everything up, sorry… but where’s Sweet Lou?

DGeezy says:

these games are taking years off my life

TJ says:

Reggie C. says:

We need to trade for Huston Street. ASAP.

leokitty says:

Why is that your reaction to this game when the root of the problem in this here was leaving the starter in too long?

Reggie C. says:

CC doesn’t take the mound in the 8th if Huston Street is pitching the 8th.

Dorian says:

VERAS!!!!! WHAT THE FUCK
