GCL Yanks toss rain shortened no-hitter
ByEduardo Nunez was named to the Double-A Eastern League Postseason All Star Team, so congrats to him. Austin Jackson wasn’t so lucky, he landed in the Not-So-Hot section of this week’s Prospect Hot Sheet.
Meanwhile, some jerk threw Triple-A Scranton’s Governor’s Cup Trophy across the room because he was upset about something. He was arrested, and the trophy is a little banged up. Doesn’t sound like a trip to the disabled list will be needed.
Triple-A Scranton was rained out. They’ll play two tomorrow.
Double-A Trenton was also washed out. Two tomorrow.
High-A Tampa

Manny Barreda is an animal.
I’m trying not to overreact, but Turley has pitched very well this year. Hopefully he can maintain that next year, possible in Charleston.
Theres no substantial reason for him to repeat in the GCL the way he’s pitched this year and I don’t think short season is appropriate either. He should be ready for a full year of baseball. Charleston is a reasonable starting point for him.
I’m officially intrigued about Deangelo Mack. Is he for real, Mike?
What about his defense?
He’s a rare college guy with considerable upside. Big time raw power, swing needs to be ironed out. He’s stuck in a corner on defense, just okay out there.
Somewhere out there in RAB-land some kid is reading DOTF for the first time and thinking to himself ‘wow, Carmen Angelini is a beast.’
IETC.
To bad Ben Stiller is nowhere around b/c there something about Carmen…Ooof
Not to mention his flawless defense.
Umm, where’s Slade? (didn’t play yesterday, either)
+1
Some investigtive sloothe work is required. Get on it boys. Kthanksbye
He was 0 for his last 8 when he last played. Maybe they gave up on him because he’s a bust and just cut him.
Searching for the strike zone, along with Sam Elam. Yankees officials didn’t trust Sam to find it on his own.
They might be playing it careful with his knee.
God bless JR Murphy…
Yeah… as far as I’m concerned, he’s replaced Jesus as the highlight of DOTF.
hard to replace jesus…i mean he is the son of god after all!
Yeah, but John and Jesus worked well together.
I know the Yanks draft was considered solid, but not great, but DMack, Medchill and Warren give me a tingle in my pants. I guess it’s just the Yankee fan in me.
