When does Dan Brewer start gettin some love?

    • Mikebk

not allowed…didnt u hear when i said it about adams that 22 year olds in tampa who went to college are supposed to do that.

he has had a hot week though.

  • Greg G.

Just got back from the Thunder game. Pope was awesome: crisp fastball with a some nice offspeed stuff in the dirt.

Hard to watch that Trenton offense, though.

    • Nickel

You were there, too? What a coincidence! ;-)

  • Rich James

I can has Marte in majors??

  • Greg G.

Mike – Pope’s outing might be the best from Yankee minor leaguer all season, no?

  • Januz

It is interesting to see that Checo and Gerritse both pitched tonight, and according to the box score got roughed up a bit. In signing news, Pittsburgh signed two pitchers for way above slot (Including $1.125m for Colton Cain). I can only imagine the screams coming the Commissioner’s Office if the Yankees give out million dollar contracts to Thompson, Stoneburner etc. 10 more days until signing time is up. I really hope they make runs at Aplin, McKenzie and Bruno (And pull a Teixeira out of the hat, and sign one of those guys).

Kei Igawa didn’t pitch for Scranton. The starter was Romulo Sanchez. I was at the game. Damaso Marte did not look the part of a Major League pitcher. His numbers weren’t bad but the Pigs made solid contact on him. Sanit was impressive, as was Whelan.
    Kroenke had a terrible night.

Was Austin Krum at low A and double A?

    • http://www.riveraveblues.com Mike Axisa

Bah. Lots of mistakes last night, stupid Yanks-Sox was distracting me. Krum was in AA, Ray Kruml was in Lo-A.

  • ChrisR

Ah, Melky Mesa. Good ol’ Feast or Famine. Loving the Dan Brewer

  • Brandon

Venditte has been pitching pretty good lately for Tampa. Any chance he see the city of Trenton anytime this season?

  • Jeffrey

Anyone else notice A-Jax’s batting average is now below .300? Looks like the 0-5 dropped it to .299. Still pretty good, but he needs to stop slumping. Why isn’t he on the 40-man roster? That means he currently can’t be called up come September.

    • http://www.riveraveblues.com Mike Axisa

He’s not on the 40-man because he doesn’t have to be yet. No point in tying up a 40-man spot if you don’t have to. They can always put him on for a Sept. call up, and they’ll have to add him in the offseason .
