If I wasn’t so lazy, I would look into other manager’s bullpen moves. I mean besides TLR, of course. I think every fan is unfairly harsh on their manager’s bullpen choices, most of the time.

Does anyone think the umping is really bad this year, like worse then usual? I can’t remember it being this bad.
I was just thinking the same thing. The strikezone shifts from day to day and the umps have had some itchy trigger fingers when it comes to ejections. Add that to the fact that we’ve seen some egregious calls go against the Yankees this year.
Yeah but we get our fair share of missed calls too. Gardy was actually out at 2b last night. It all evens out in the wash.
I wasn’t saying against us, I was just saying in general. Umps have been off this year. Lazy, old, what ever color or nationality umps are.
I agree it’s been the whole league. But I’m just pointing out that we’ve had our share of bad calls too.
Eh, I don’t think the umps are off any more than they normally are. It’s just that we have Pitch F/X now, which makes it a lot easier to get people on the internet to listen to you when you feel like complaining about the call on a specific pitch. Pitch F/X also provides a way for people who didn’t watch the game to have an opinion on the issue.
Maybe, but that only strengthens the argument that the umpiring has been consistently bad.
Plus that was a close, close call on Gardy. You could barely notice he came off the bag for a split second on slow-mo. The ump really didn’t have a good angle there.

Why is Molina playing over Cervelli? They’re both sub-par offensive players with good D, good arms. At least Cervelli has a bit more speed. Any chance we see Molina next year?
