In case you missed it, Manny Banuelos missed his scheduled start today.

Triple-A Scranton (4-1 loss to Buffalo)
Kevin Russo, 3B & Juan Miranda, 1B: both 0 for 3 – Russo was hit by a pitch … Miranda drew a walk & K’ed
Eduardo Nunez, SS, Jon Weber, LF & Jesus Montero, DH: all 1 for 4, 1 K – Nunez doubled
David Winfree, RF: 3 for 4, 1 R, 2 2B, 1 K – went from hitting .250 to .375 just like that
Colin Curtis, CF, Chad Moeller, C & Reegie Corona, SS: all 0 for 4 – Curtis drove in a run with a ground ball … Moeller & Corona K’ed
Jason Hirsh: 4.2 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 2 K, 5-6 GB/FB – 47 of 74 pitches were strikes (63.5%) … gave up all three runs in the first … allowed just two singles & a walk the rest of the way
Royce Ring: 2.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 1 K, 5-0 GB/FB – 15 of 26 pitches were strikes (57.7%)
Amaury Sanit: 2 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 0 K, 3-3 GB/FB – 16 of 20 pitches were strikes (80%)

Double-A Trenton (5-1 win over Erie) they still haven’t lost a game
Austin Krum, CF, Reid Gorecki, LF, Kevin Smith, 1B & Jose Gil, C: all 0 for 3 – Krum drew a walk, scored a run & K’ed … Gorecki drove in a pair of runs & was caught stealing … Gil K’ed twice
David Adams, DH: 2 for 4, 2 R, 1 2B, 2 RBI – hitting a clean .500 through four games
Brandon Laird, 3B & Dan Brewer, RF: both 1 for 3 – Laird walked & K’ed
Justin Snyder, 2B: 2 for 3, 1 R, 1 SB
David Phelps: 5.2 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 7 K, 1 Balk, 5-1 GB/FB – 53 of 76 pitches were strikes (69.7%) … that’s domination, holmes … you talk about guys that exceed expectations, well he’s already done it
Wilkins Arias: 1.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 1 K, 2-1 GB/FB – the 29-year-old lefty was sitting 88-91
Noel Castillo: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 1 K, 1-1 GB/FB
Grant Duff: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 2 K, 1-0 GB/FB

High-A Tampa (3-0 win over Lakeland)
Abe Almonte, CF: 0 for 5, 1 K
Jose Pirela, DH & Walt Ibarra, SS: both 1 for 4, 1 SB – Pirela got hit by a pitch & K’ed … Ibarra doubled & K’ed twice
Corban Joseph, 2B: 1 for 5, 1 R, 1 K
Bradley Suttle, 3B: 2 for 4, 1 R, 1 K – 4 for his last 7 after an 0 for 8 start
Neil Medchill, LF: 2 for 2, 1 R, 1 RBI, 2 BB
Melky Mesa, RF: 1 for 3, 1 3B, 1 RBI, 1 HBP
Myron Leslie: 0 for 3, 1 BB
Dan Kapala: 4 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 0 K, 1 HB, 8-4 GB/FB – that’s one of my all-time favorite lines, just beautiful
Craig Heyer: 2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 0 K, 6-0 GB/FB – 57.4% career GB rate … wowza
Phil Bartlewski: 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 2 K, 3-1 GB/FB
Jon Ortiz: 1 IP, zeroes, 1-2 GB/FB – I figured he’d start in Trenton, guess he lost out in the numbers game

Low-A Charleston (7-6 win over Lexington in 12 innings, walk-off style) they tied it with two in the ninth before going on to win in extras
Ray Kruml, CF: 2 for 6, 2 R, 1 K
Kyle Higashioka, C & Zoilo Almonte, LF: both 0 for 4, 1 BB – Higashioka K’ed once, Almonte twice … Almonte also scored a run
Jimmy Paredes, 2B: 1 for 5, 2 RBI, 1 K
Luke Murton, 1B & Rob Lyerly, DH: both 2 for 6 – Murton drove in a run … Lyerly scored a run, drove in two & K’ed (gulp) four times
Taylor Grote, RF: 2 for 5, 1 2B, 1 RBI, 1 BB – walk-off double
Emerson Landoni, SS: 3 for 4, 2 R, 2 2B, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 2 E (both throwing)
Jose Ramirez: 5 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 6 K, 2 HB, 5-3 GB/FB – poised for a huge year
Gabriel Tatis: 2 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 0 BB, 1 K, 1 HB, 4-1 GB/FB
