- The Yankees made two notable moves last week. First, they traded Chase Headley and Bryan Mitchell to the Padres for Jabari Blash in a salary dump deal. San Diego took on Headley’s entire $13M salary. Second, they agreed to a one-year deal worth $10M with CC Sabathia. Hooray.

- Josh Bard (bench coach), Phil Nevin (third base coach), Reggie Willits (first base coach), and Carlos Mendoza (infield coach) will all be added to the coaching staff.
- The High-A Tampa Yankees have been rebranded as the Tampa Tarpons.
