Another slow day in the hot stove league, unless you count that Mitch Moreland blockbuster signing. The tippy top free agents are still looking for jobs. Anyway, make sure you check out David Laurila’s latest Q&A. He spoke to a few managers at the Winter Meetings and asked whether today’s players are smarter. They’re bigger and stronger, sure, but smarter? The answers were interesting. Check it out.

Here is an open thread for the night. Falcons vs. Buccaneers is the Monday Night Football game, and the Knicks and Devils are both playing as well. Talk about those games or anything else here as long as it isn’t religion or politics.
