Some quick notes:
- C Anthony Seigler, this year’s first round pick, has not played since July 4th,
though Josh Norris says he’s not hurt, so that’s good. Not sure why he hasn’t played lately though. Kinda weird.UPDATE: Norris says Seigler has a minor hamstring issue. So there you go. - C Josh Breaux, this year’s second round pick, is injured, however. He’s been out since July 11th with a minor hamstring injury and is day-to-day. Breaux’s not even on the disabled list.
- RHP Garrett Whitlock has been promoted to Double-A Trenton, the team announced. He has a 1.55 ERA (2.24 FIP) in 87.1 innings split between Low-A and High-A so far this season.
Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (8-4 win over Toledo)
- SS Abi Avelino: 2-5, 1 R, 1 RBI, 1 K

The Double-A Trenton Thunder had their two games postponed due to rain. They’ll finish their April 29th suspended game tomorrow and then play a seven-inning game. Tonight’s regularly scheduled game will be made up at some point in the future.

Rookie GCL Yankees East (3-1 loss to GCL Tigers West)
- CF Estevan Florial: 4-4, 1 R, 1 2B, 1 3B — played nine innings in center field back-to-back days, which probably means the rehab assignment is coming to an end soon … 17-for-31 (.548) with three doubles, three homers, and five steals in nine rehab games … he’s raised his season batting line from .246/.353/.343 to .301/.394/.464 during the rehab assignment
- RF Ryder Green: 0-4, 2 K — in a 2-for-18 (.111) skid with eleven strikeouts
- LF Isiah Pasteur: 0-3, 1 RBI — threw a runner out at third
- 3B Jose Villa: 2-3, 1 BB, 1 E (throwing) — got picked off first
- RHP Clarke Schmidt: 3.2 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 4 K, 1 HBP, 4/1 GB/FB — 2.25 ERA with 14/3 K/BB in 12 innings so far … he’s gradually getting stretched out, so maybe he’ll join Staten Island at some point before the end of the season
