The Yankees can clinch a playoff berth today. It would take a win over the Blue Jays and an Angels’ loss to the Rangers to guarantee one of the two wildcard spots, and it can all happen in the matter of a few hours. I know we’re all hoping the Yankees will win the AL East crown, but the division title and a wildcard spot are not mutually exclusive for New York.
