Update: Tyler Wade okay after exiting with wrist injury
Three Gentle Reminders

The Yankees snapped their little two-game Grapefruit League losing streak with a 10-3 win over the Mets this afternoon. Giancarlo Stanton swatted his first spring home run, so that’s fun. The video is above. Aaron Judge walk, Stanton two-run homer. Get used to it. Judge had a single, a double, and a walk. He’s starting to get locked in. Brett Gardner had two hits as well. So did Kyle Holder off the bench. He is 8-for-17 (.471) this spring. Who knew?

Luis Cessa started and walked three in 1.1 somehow scoreless innings. David Robertson struck out both batters he faced in his spring debut. Two strikeouts in a scoreless inning for Aroldis Chapman. Dellin Betances, Adam Warren, and Chad Green all pitched as well. The Yankees threw the “A” bullpen at the Mets today. George would’ve been proud. Here are the box score and video highlights, and here are the rest of the day’s notes from Spring Training:

  • In case you missed it earlier, Tyler Wade left this afternoon’s game with a left wrist injury. He rolled over on the wrist after making a diving play. Fortunately Wade is fine. He iced it down and will play as scheduled Monday.
  • Clint Frazier (concussion) is still experiencing symptoms. “It’s affecting my driving. I had a couple of scary moments driving. I’m calling my cats the wrong names at times,” he said. Yikes. Jacoby Ellsbury (oblique) could resume baseball activities soon. [Bryan Hoch, George King]
  • Two more roster cuts: Domingo Acevedo was optioned down and Brian Keller was reassigned to minor league camp. Didn’t even realize Keller was in big league camp. The Yankees are down to 51 players in big league camp, by my count.
  • As for Acevedo, he didn’t pitch at all this spring because he’s working to build arm strength on the side. He was shut down late last season with a shoulder problem and got a late start on his offseason throwing, so he’s behind the other pitchers. [Brendan Kuty]

This is the nightly open thread. This afternoon’s game will be replayed on YES (7pm ET), if you’re interested. MLB Network will have the Mariners and Reds live, the (hockey) Rangers and Devils are both playing, and there’s a bunch of college basketball on the schedule as well. Talk about anything here except religion or politics. Thanks in advance.
