I was at the Trenton game today and Lavigne was dealing. The two earned runs came on a seeing eye ground ball and a ball that was spun off the very end of the bat and just snuck past the third base bag for a fair ball. Both easily could have been outs can they been two feet in a different direction. Meanwhile though, the bullpen looked horrible. While the hit that won it would have been caught had the infield not been playing in, a few of the hits were smoked.

What is the scoop on the CF Gardner? When is he expected back?

    thanks..

is jackson actually being sent down? he needs some kind of change. The ONLY player received in the johnson and sheffield deals to succeed is claggett in tampa. everyone else has performed below expectations (whelan’s walking almost 7 per 9 innings, so even with that low era i wouldn’t call it projectable success). The one major prospect acqusition that’s doing well is britton, and they refuse to give up on vizcaino (see 72% of the posts in the last 2 weeks to read more on that)

Mike, re-check brady martinez’s line for tonight from the boxscore. Don’t ask me why I care about brady martinez’s stats.
