DeSalvo to start for Yanks in a week
ByMany of us thought we’d never see him back in pinstripes, but Mighty Matt DeSalvo is headed back to the Bronx to start one game of a doubleheader next Saturday.
Here’s the problem with DeSalvo: he doesn’t have overpowering stuff, so he has to work the edges. If he’s getting the calls, he can be fine. If he’s being squeezed, he’s going to get killed when he puts one over. That’s not exactly the kind of pitcher you want on your roster full-time, but he can suffice for a spot start.

As a Matty D. apologist, I like the move. He’ll be facing the D-Rays, a young & impatient team that is more likely to hack at his pitches just off the plate than take ‘em for balls.
I’m hoping they get rid of Myers for him instead of Edwar.
Yeah, I wish we’d actually seen Edwar in the game yesterday instead of Scott “2 walks an inning” Proctor.

Ain’t that the truth. I honestly wonder what this team’s record would be if they had even a half-way competent manager.
JoBA pitching tonight on comcast, much better look at him than the futures game last week— so far so good thru two innings

Joba is simply bad ass.
