I laughed.

A.D. says:

Eric Duncan teasing us with his up and down hitting

Looks like Almonte is staying healthy

A.D. says:

162.00
21.00

Oliver Perez’s ERA & WHIP in tonights game

Jamal G. says:

Hey, isn’t that the chic you professed your love for earlier? Green eyes are a bitch :P

*If I am mistaken and that wasn’t you who I’m talking about then translate the above post to: Eric Duncan owns!

Mike A. says:

That I professed my love for earlier? No, not that I remember.

dan says:

I think that was Anne Hathaway

brockdc says:

It’ll be cool to watch Gardner play with the big club in September, assuming he gets brought up…

…Thank you, ‘08 Yankees for making a late-season Brett Gardner call-up seem exciting.

dan says:

pretty boring/mundane day in prospect land

Rich says:

I would call Gardner up now.

Jamal G. says:

To do what exactly? Both our corner OFs are producing well and so is Hideki Matsui. Melky Cabrera has been better of late with the bat and has played good CF defense. His play has not warranted a demotion to the bench so where would Brett Gardner play?

No point in bringing him up as a defensive replacement and pinch-runner because that is just stunting his development and adding another LHB on the bench to a LH dominated starting nine.

Rich says:

There is no reason why Damon, Melky, Abreu, and Matsui can’t sit out one game a week, or every eight or nine days in order to give Gardner a shot. Damon played a little 1B in the past (and has expressed a willingness to try to play there). He probably isn’t a lot worse defensively than Giambi. I think a creative use of the roster might have a synergistic effect. Right now., the whole is less than the sum of the parts.

Joey says:

good idea to add the season stats to TJ Rehab watch

Brandon says:

7 days away from Humberto Sanchez’s debut :D ….

P.S. is there any info on Erick Threets ?

Brandon says:

nevermind just saw SF Giants DFA Erick Threets tonight
Threets DFA

Mike A. says:

Throws serious gas, 95-97, once hit 104 before getting hurt. Minimal control. Definitely worth at least a shot;

Aaron says:

Nice job on the TJ Rehab Watch. The improvements work well.

JohnC says:

Eric Duncan has always been a streaky hitter. That seems like his pattern. He gets a hot streak, then seems to have a day where he goes -4 with 2-3 Ks, and that sends him into another tailspin. I don’t expect this streak to last.

Evan V says:

what was ben broussard’s numbers?

Brandon says:

yesterday 1 for 3 w/ 2 BB, he’s not a real option at all.
