Behind the Music: Ronan Tynan

By

No, it’s not a VH1 special about the Yankees’ favorite Irish singer. It is instead a profile of Ronan Tynan in the Asbury Park Press. Tynan, performing today in Red Bank, is getting ready to release an album of his version of songs by U2, Eric Clapton and the Boss. It’s clearly just what the world needs. (Hat tip to BBTF.)

does he sing the obscure intros to these songs as well?

Tynan also is heavily involved with my Buffalo Sabres as well, which is great. Nice connection between the Yanks and my hometown.

Is anybody else just dying for tomorrow to be over so we can actually get legitamite MLB news? I mean it’s been a week since anything remotely newsworthy has come out. Hopefully, once the arbitration deadline passes, a domino or two will fall

  6. Andy In Sunny Daytona says:

He does his version of “99 Problems” on the album.

So Ronan is covering songs done by George Steinbrenner? Cool.
