A RAB month to remember

April run showers plagued Yanks' pitchers
RAB Live Chat

Already today, I’ve tackled the Yankees’ April. I’d like to take a quick few minutes before Mike’s chat to run down RAB’s month that was. For us, it was a record-setting month. We had just over 900,000 page views and have seen more comments in April than we ever anticipated. Besides our devotion to the site, the readers are what help make RAB strong, and we want to thank everyone for stopping by. The season is just getting started.

Psh you’re rollin with the YES Network now. Thats like Lebron asking someone to buy him lunch. (Also that link doesnt work.)

its ust more more mroe with you guys! give 5 bucks last week and now it’s “penny for the poor”

        obviously i kid

Also, to be a bit clearer about the YES deal: It’s primarily a content + advertising deal. We’re not getting any lump sum for them, but it enables them the opportunity to sell (in a better economy at least) our ad space. It affords us some cross-promotion and a good association.

          • Spaceman.Spiff

No more Yawkey Way store ads?

  • Axl

I think I definitely contributed quite a bit to this with my “larger-than-life” persona on the board…what about you?

Money isn’t necessary. I would appreciate a “shout out” or something in one of the posts though…

Wow, PeteAbe’s losing it with his ARod hate.

    • JobaWockeeZ

Which is why we prefer our more rationalized and smarter Big Three than him.

    • Chris

The problem is that a good reporter does not necessarily make a good commentator or a good analyst. Pete Abe is a very good reporter, but not so good at the other things, and you can clearly tell when he crosses the line.

      “Much ado about nothing”

He’s getting angry over something he can’t control. Like I’ve said, we already knew he wasn’t the poster child for class or professionalism…so why are any of us surprised? And not only that, why are people legimately angry about it?? If you weren’t angry over his other antics and nonsense…why does steroids put you over the edge? From a rational or moral standpoint…steroids is probably one of the “better” things he’s done over the years that he’s been caught doing. But because the media blows everything out of control in regards to steroids…that automatically takes precedence over the grocery list of other terrible things he’s done over the years?

Don’t get angry over it. It is what it is. And we already knew he took steroids…everybody does. He admitted it. The amount of times he took them or the length in years he’s been on them is irrelevant. He’s linked…and therefore he’s “tainted” in the eyes of the majority. So what does this new book have in it that we actually care about?? Unless there’s a few superfans out there who are wondering just what brand toothpaste he made his teammate put on his toothbrush…then I can entirely understand.

Who cares what bitch tits does in his spare time as long as he is healthy and productive.

  • Ed

Heard of the RAB on MLBTR in November and log on at least once a day now. ITS LIKE CRACK!!!

  • tarik

Come on we all know April numbers mean nothing. You won’t be a “True Yankee Blog” until you guys can put up these sorts of numbers in October.

  • Matt M.

what website do you guys use to figure that out? quantcast has you guys at a little different # but a nice trend since the season started:

    • http://www.riveraveblues.com Benjamin Kabak

It’s based off of our Google Analytics numbers. Based on all of our tracking metrics it looks like G-Analytics > Sitemeter > WordPress.com Internal > Quantcast.

The truth is somewhere in the middle I’d imagine.

      • http://newstadiuminsider.com Ross

There definitely is some fluctuation between those metrics. Google Analytics is as good of a choice as any.

  • Mike R. – Retire 21

It’s better than crack! It’s like doing lines off of a $100,000 an hour hooker’s ass while getting a hand job from an Egyptian hand model!

  • Joe

Best Yankees blog around for sure, keep up the good work guys

  • pollo

I think the increase you saw can be somewhat attributed to the average Yank fan being more aware of stats/minor leaguers. You guys have a good mix of everything and certainly are the best yankee blog around. Keep it up

  • miketotheg

you guys rock, just don’t get all mike francesa on us and start waving that hand!!!

you guys are rollin on YES!!
    DAS IT!

  • John J

While it is the content that keeps me coming back, it is the pinch hitter entry on PeteAbes blog that brought me to RAB. Keep up the good work.

  • http://newstadiuminsider.com Ross

I like how you guys posted this and then Peter Abraham had to trump your moment by posting his 2 million + page views in his game preview post. Coincidence? I think not. Classless.
