About last night’s RAB outage
ByLast night, shortly before 8 p.m., River Ave. Blues became less than 100 percent accessible. For the next 90 minutes, Joe, Mike and I worked with our hosts and its tech support team to isolate and fix the problem. Eventually, we found a source of it and were able to get the site and all commenting up and running. Last night, we had to jettison the “Show Unread Comments” plugin, and it’s back for now. It may, however, be on borrowed time. In the meantime, RAB should be at full strength now.

I thought it was just too much traffic, like we usually get on a Yanks-Sawx night. Glad to hear it’s fixed.
I don’t forgive you, if that’s what youre asking.
How many smart ass comments couldn’t find a home last night? We are all that much empty thanks to that technological glitch.
I’ll be honest, I was waaaay more dissapointed than a normal person should have been. I might have a problem…..

When did you turn into Scott from 3 Kids Tickets?
I was wondering the same.

Popularity is a double edged sword.
Would it help if you went back to just a solid color instead of the NY logo? I would hate to see that go
Nope. It’s not the image file we use for the logo. It’s the way the plugin makes use of MySQL. None of us know enough to recode it, and it seems to be the only one out there.
Surely there’s one smartass commenter on here who knows code and can help? Come on, people of RAB community! This plugin is way too awesome to just let it die like that!
I could fix it for you, but all the comments would come out as pro Red Sox when I was done, and I know you don’t want that

That’s graphics, not tech support. He is after all the guy who designed our new banner.
We’re working with support. Don’t worry about it, but thanks for the suggestion.
Thanks for all your hard work, guys.
