    sweeeeeeeeeeeet, vazquez is back.

Now promote him to AAA because he’s making trenton look silly

  2. yankees=warriors says:

As soon as I saw no stats in the AAA column, I thought, “Poor Kontos!”.

  3. When’s the last time we didn’t have a washout somewhere?

  4. Will (the other one) says:

Man, what’s the deal with Scranton? It always seems so inoffensively overcast in the view from Michael Scott’s window…

  5. Matt M. says:

…looks like the demotion didn’t clear angelini’s error bug, next stop, little league

  6. YankeeFan says:

Hey Mike, GCL starts Tuesday…also what’s the plan with Cox? He was interviewed by Ashmore and says how some days he fills like his old self but it seems to come and go. You think if he pitches well it’s a sign that just maybe he finally is getting his stuff completely back or will have to wait for results at Scranton? Have there any reports of how is stuff has looked since coming back from the DL?

    • YankeeFan says:

I ask this because his numbers were so good last season to start off but then he completely lost it and then was placed on the DL for I guess a tired shoulder and maybe he finally is getting that arm strength back. Still only 25 years old, should we still hold out hope for him?

      • Mike Axisa says:

My bad on the GCL, I’ve been typing Tuesday all week, just goofed today.

Not sure what they do with Cox. I read that bit with Ashmore and it’s kinda troubling. He needs to feel like himself everyday before they can count on him for anything. He’s still young anyway, but this is his fourth year pro and he’s yet to do anything above AA.

      • Accent Shallow says:

Cox wasn’t protected in the Rule V draft this past spring, I wonder if he’ll show enough to either be protected or picked this year?

  7. What are the odds of Jorge Vasquez helping the big league club this season?

    • RollingWave says:

not a whole lot I’d think, even if Matsui goes down (likely) Nady / Shelley / Miranda should all probably get their cracks before Vasquez.

    • Mike Axisa says:

Not likely. Nady and Shelley on ahead of him on the RHB depth chart, and if Mo forbid Tex got hurt, Swish moves over to first.

  8. Mike D. says:

Reegie Corona and Eduardo Nunez= biggest surprises on 09. Noesi can also be considered.

  9. RPimpsner says:

That error should not have been charged to Angelini. It was a bad toss by the second baseman and should have been charged to Paredes. I never seen so many people in a press box question the judgement of the OS then on that play.

  10. Greg F. says:

I think Montero is starting to get the hang of Trenton. Kid is a beast.

  11. Jake H says:

I’m liking a full DOTF starting on Tuesday.

  12. Accent Shallow says:

Looking forward to more of both the NY-Penn League and the GCL. Be interesting to who we’ll be watching for next year in Charleston/Tampa.

    • Accent Shallow says:

And especially to see how this year’s/last year’s draftees do. I’m curious about Chris Smith, for example.

  13. frankie cervs says:

where is chris smith? Kid hit .714 in Compton. I like it.
