Open Thread: Hope everyone’s having a good time

Quick Links: Matsui, Montero, Venditte, Sanchez
Montero fails to homer in fifth straight game, is immediately released for shaming the organization

The three of us are out and about, carousing with pals and family, and we hope you are too. If you’re not, no worries. We’re throwing up an open thread for anything about, well, anything. Feel free to discuss the game, though we’ll have a recap later on, or what you happen to be drinking at the moment (Saranac Brown Ale).

On a serious note, we’ve gotten a few complaints about malware coming from the domain cdn1.eyewonder.com. This has apparently been flagged by Google for Google Chrome users. While I have my own suspicions on why, it’s something we’re going to take care of. Since we’re all out and about, I expect we’ll get to a fix tomorrow morning. Apologies to anyone who this has affected.

For now, everyone have a good, safe evening.

yankees are early favorites to sign chapman according to heyman. seet

It would be fantastic if we signed him. I heard rumors of preperations for an epic bidding war between Theo and Cash.

    • http://www.riveraveblues.com Mike Axisa

Heh, I’ve had mine listed on half.com for about three months now.

      • yanke1313

Ive got it, and its the worst game ever. The players dont play to the back of their baseball card.

    • VO

After hearing these reviews how much?

      • Manimal

        5$ + 3$ for shipping= 8$

  • Little Bill

Remember when all those baseball scholars wanted Derek Lowe instead of AJ Burnett? AJ has been a huge addition to the rotation and that will become even more apparent as the year goes on. His stuff is very good and I can’t believe people didn’t want this guy.

The Yankees have done their job today and now Boston has to deal with King Felix.

    • Zach

No one denied his talent, it was the length of the deal combined with his history of injuries

      • Little Bill

They denied his talent and they denied everything about him. I knew he would be a good pickup.

        • whozat

          Bullshit.

People denied his ability to stay healthy and his ability to consistently throw strikes. And those remain perfectly legitimate concerns.

          • pat

Little Bill also was the only person not to panic when we lost 2/3 to the nats.

          • RAB poster

            I’m with whozat.

            • RAB poster

I also thought there was a very legitimate reason to panic when they lost 2 of 3 to a team that was at the time on pace for one of the worst records in baseball history.

The bright side is we saved Manny Acta’s job.

              • Little Bill

It’s just variance. It doesn’t matter who plays, the underdog always has a decent chance to win any one game in MLB. Over a 3 game series, it’s not unthinkable that the worst team could win 2 from the best team. The more games they played, the more the Yankees’ advantage would become apparent.

    • Manimal

You will be right… until he gets hurt and misses a season which is pretty much inevitable. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge Burnett fan and hope he keeps pitching like he has recently and stays healthy but I wouldn’t put money on it. I still think Lowe would’ve been the better choice, but you can’t go wrong with either of them.

      • Little Bill

He’s been plenty healthy for the last year and a half. You can go wrong with one of them- Derek Lowe. AJ is clearly the better pitcher and is 4 years younger. When Lowe is 39, making $15 million a year, and in severe decline you’ll look pretty stupid.

        • whozat

Proclaiming that Burnett is suddenly a lock to stay healthy through his age 37 season because he hasn’t been on the DL since 2007 is kind of ridiculous.

          • RAB poster

Lowe is a very good pitcher. Since he’s a pure sinkerballer he does not need velocity, so like Wakefield the idea of a decline is kind of irrelevant.

            • Zach

It’s not the decline that worried me, its the fact that he had 1 good season in the AL East before moving to the NL West and having good seasons, now he has an era of 4.44 in the NL East. Sure he’ll give you 200 innings, but I prefer Burnett’s risk/reward better.

Yes AJ’s been hurt but you have to look at the circumstances.

              1. Stress fracture in foot – oh well
              2. bone bruise in elbow – started the elbow problems
              3. elbow inflammation – marlins had him rehab
              4. TJ Surgery – rehab obviously didnt work
              5. elbow soreness – scar tissue broke loose and that happens to all guys who had TJS
              6. elbow soreness – ok it came back
              7. shoulder soreness – alot of pitchers get sore shoulders
              8. shoulder soreness- back on DL 3 days later, blame Toronto because they suck with pitchers’ health

              • RAB poster

So you’re saying we should be less concerned because he had a myriad of injuries instead of one recurring one?

All that means to me is that it’s more likely any of these inuries recur.

                • Zach

He hasnt had elbow issues in 3 years, and he had a sore shoulder that the Toronto didnt handle right because he went right back to the DL 3 days after he was activated.

I dont know if you’re concerned or not and I’m not going to tell you to be or not, I’m just saying you have to look at the circumstances. Is his number of stays on the DL alot? Of course, but like everything numbers dont tell the whole story

              • whozat

I see a history of elbow and shoulder problems that, while there may have been “circumstance” have still caused damage that increase the risk of recurrence.

Burnett has great stuff. There is a track record that suggests he will have trouble pitching 200 innings more than one year at a time. There is also a track record that he will mix strings of dominance with strings of walking the ballpark. Could he defy both of these trends? Yes. But, betting 82 mil that he’ll do so for five years running…

                • Zach

He hasnt had elbow issues in 3 years, because he had a sore elbow that needed TJ then had scar tissue break loose that should be held over his head the rest of his career?

Could Lowe defy the trend of being barely average in the AL East? I wouldnt be 80m on that (because Atl was after both of them so the first guy to sign would have received 80m)

                • Little Bill

This is very well thought out, Zach. I like your rational thinking over “Well, it’s just inevitable that AJ eventually gets hurt this season and remains hurt for the rest of his contract. Meanwhile, Derek Lowe will dominate during his late 30’s and become the Roy Halladay of the NL East.” I’m so sick of these assumptions.

Burnett has better numbers than Lowe and Burnett is in the tougher division and league. Lowe pitched 3 games in interleague vs. the AL East. He didn’t make it to the 4th inning in 2 of those and gave up 16 ER. AJ dominated the NL East. Just imagine what damage he could do if he got to face the Mets, Marlins, and Nationals all year like Lowe gets to.

          • pat

Nah it wasn’t as bad as everybody makes it out to be. As long as you go in expecting shit to blow up and corny jokes to be made you’ll be fine. People go in to these movies thinking they’re gonna get Citizen Kane or whatever then bitch when it’s not. Just take it for what it is, a summer blockbuster with robot balls and Megan Fox.

            • whozat

That is all I want. It was the same when I went to see Terminator 3. I figured it’d be pretty much mindless crap…and it was, but not as crappy as I expected, so I enjoyed it.

I thought it was good. The first movie was better.

              I hated Citizen Kane.

I’ve never actually seen Citizen, I just know its consensus amongst hoity toity fim critics is that its one of, if not the best film ever.

That’s why I watched Citizen. Heard all the hype. Was hugely disappointed. I give it my personal award for most ridiculously and unbelievably overrated films of all time. Don’t watch it if you can help it.

Regarding the Eyewonder problem, AdBlock Plus is a lifesaver, and coupled with MalwareBytes, you folks should be all back to normal.

With regards to the Yanks, great win today. Looking forward to the next game!

      Thanks!

That AdBlock Plus is awesome. The main ad on PeteAbe’s site disappears.

While I am a huge fan of Adblock Plus, I actually have it disabled on RAB. Since RAB’s source of revenue is donations and advertising, I figure I can do my (albeit little) part to help keep this fantastic site running. I do the same with other sites/blogs that I enjoy and frequent, and suggest others do the same.

However, I’ll enable it until I hear that the malware problem is gone. Not that I’m worried about malware, with AVG Free and Spybot S&D monitoring my system.

Speaking of many beers.. I visited SF for a few days last summer I went to a place by the Wharf.. I think it was called Jacks or something. It had like 100 beers on tap you ever been there, it was petty awesome.

            • whozat

I’ve heard of it. I don’t hit bars in SF that much, though I have been to some fun places.

There’s this one place that gets all hipster-y around 11, but if you go before that, it’s pretty relaxed and it’s about $11 for a pint glass full of the martini of your choice.

              mmm…

              • pat

haha pints of martini, I can get used to that, as well as some 8% beers.

          • whozat

A lot of the rest might be regional. Anchor Steam is, I think, a San Francisco beer. Long Trail and Otter Creek (who makes Wolaver’s) are in Vermont, Unibroue is a quebecois brewery (and they’re all like…8% alcohol or more).

                • whozat

We should go to really low-level minor league games and just start overreacting to totally meaningless stuff. Like, some 17 year old in the GCL takes a ball for strike 2 and we just start mercilessly heckling him from the front row right behind home plate. Or head to the DR and start really yelling at 16 year old signees for stuff that’s not their fault. Like, a kid misses a grounder because it hits a rock in the infield, and we just start shrieking at him.

                • http://www.richardiurilli.com/ Richard Iurilli

well i just got back to htown (houston, tx) to spend time with the fam for 4th of july. Nothing better than being a poor college student eating free for the weekend :)

oh and my car (2001 audi a6) basically died on me on the way home, so i had to tow it to a shop :(

    • http://www.puristbleedspinstripes.com Rebecca-Optimist Prime

I have driven my car TWICE all year. This is what happens when you move to a city!

(I drove every day or nearly every day when at Syracuse or in NJ, but such times are past)

      • Dela G

haha i am originally from new york city (far rockaway queens to be exact), and we moved here in 2001, and everyone drives. If you don’t have a car, you can’t survive since there is no mass transit and stuff. Its like living in syracuse i guess. haha.

Oh and i cannot wait to move back to nyc next june for a full time after graduation :)

    • whozat

      Oh! THAT’s htown.

I spent the last ten years in rural VT/NH, and moved to the bay area…both require cars to do so much as get to work. Even in SF, they have a subway, but it only covers about half the city. You have to use a weird mishmash of buses, subways and light rail to get around. Sucks.

Though, the caltrain is right around the corner from my apartment, and it takes me right to AT&T when I want to go to a giants game. of course, the giants are horrendous, but it’s a nice ballpark…

Could Jorge Vazquez be Ryan Ludwick?

    • whozat

Does ludwick play RF? If so, I dunno. He provides average defense (according to UZR/150 on fangraphs) and a bit above average offense at a corner OF spot.

I don’t think Vazquez would do that.

  • zs190

Anyone else wish they hit Montero higher in the lineup than 5th? I want him to get more at-bats.

    • http://www.puristbleedspinstripes.com Rebecca-Optimist Prime

I think you need to switch him and Vasquez or he won’t get shit to hit.

      • zs190

I don’t know, he’s been sitting behind Vasquez all these games and he seems to be hitting just fine. I really doubt protection makes that much of a difference in minors. Heck, Pujols has been destroying people left and right with minimal protection even in the majors, I can’t see people get all that stressed about pitching around Montero in the minors.

      • Mike bk

you have said that twice already tonight, maybe you should wait til they actually start walking him instead of pitching to him before you make the statement since he is 2-2 after all.

if you want to say he wont get anything to drive that might be different but he was hitting behind him as he was hitting the homers too, so who knows.

    • pat

I beleive it’s a strategic move. They don’t want him to have any protection so he learns to be a more well rounded hitter. If you’re sitting three spot in front of Vazquez you’re going to see an inordinate amount of fastballs.

But yes, to answer your question I wish he was hitting leadoff.

  • Dorian

We aren’t the only team that Ronny Cedeno kills. He just went deep with a 3 run homer to give Seattle the lead 4-2.

    • Dela G

      GO CEDENO!

      Keep the sox losing!

    • Zach

think it was a 2run homer

  • Ivan

Homer Bailey and Phil got their FB’s back.

    • whozat

Bailey did? Good for him. I know he’d lost like…8 MPH or something last year.

      • Ivan

Yeah, he’s learned a splitter which has become an effective pitch for him, and he’s hitting as high as 97-98 MPH on his FB.

        • whozat

That’s all right. Who’re the reds playing?

          • whozat

Is that reading on the TV? I’m seeing 93-94 and some down around 90; I figure that’s the 4-seam vs the splitter. That’s still plenty. If Hughes comes back to sitting 93-94 on his FB as a starter, that’d be fine with me.

            • Ivan

they have their top players healthy and they only have a 1 game lead, thats pretty sad IMO

          • Zach

If Phils dont get another SP and get Rollins hitting then Mets still have a chance. Reyes, Beltran and Maine should all be back before the trading deadline and I have to think Perez will give them something better then a 9.00 era

Rebecca-Wow. I can never look at that series the same way again.

I think I’m going to be forced to look at it as a lessing because of 2 outstanding games won by the Yanks and even moore of a blessing for saving the life of another Yankee.

    • http://www.puristbleedspinstripes.com Rebecca-Optimist Prime

Err, what I meant to post:

To put what Montero and Vasquez are doing in perspective, both hitting .340ish:

No one on Erie, the team Trenton is facing tonight, is hitting over .293.

I know Montero still has a small sample size, but it’s not that small.

      • RAB poster

Ha ha I know where that came from. :-)

Montero is throwing out 28% of his runners at AA, compared to 13% in A.

    • http://www.puristbleedspinstripes.com Rebecca-Optimist Prime

Posada, in a good year, throws out 30%.

      Just FYI.

      • VO

That actually is greatly reassuring, not taking into account small sample size that is. I’ve asked this before but haven’t gotten an answer. If they do move him from behind the plate where do you think he’ll play? 1st and 3rd are pretty much locked up. Right field?

        • whozat

1B/LF enough to build his trade value as a non-DH, some DH/LF/1B in the bigs, and then traded.

        • pat

IMO right is the only position he could play. Left field in yankee stadium is waaaaay too big.

          • VO

Exactly what I was thinking, do you think he could make it as a right fielder? He couldn’t be that much worse then some of these guys ex: Dunn

          • whozat

But most places, LF is the position of least utility outside of first, so they’d play him in LF at least in the minors to show he can do it in prep for the inevitable trade.

            • donttradecano

              there wont be a trade.

              • VO

That’s just half the problem though, even if right now he can do it, the question is if he can keep it up he’s only 19, still some time for him to develop. I don’t think a 6’7″ 275lbs catcher would work. Of course these are exagerations but you see the point.

              • VO

I don’t, this is by far one of the best hitting prospects the Yankees have had in a long time.

                • pat

Yea me neither unless someone is gonna give us the second coming tof the mick or randy johnson or even walter johnson.

          • Reggie C.

This talk of turning Montero into an outfielder baffles me. If he can’t stick at catcher in the majors when he’s in his peak physical years … and with Montero’s body type i believe he’s already there … then there’s no way he has the mobility and natural speed to handle a corner OF spot.

There’s going to be an open DH spot after Matsui leaves. Cash should play it conservatively and have Montero fill that DH spot sometime in 2010. Montero could be the back-up catcher on the team and spell Posada. He wont need a full season at AAA. When you’re ready, you’re ready.

            • VO

I don’t believe the problem is his body handling it. I believe there afraid he will outgrow the position. 6’4″ and 225 and still growing at 19 years old.

            • Zach

locking in a 20year old into your DH spot? not a smart organizational move when you have a 3B locked up until hes 42.

              • Reggie C.

That’s a future future problem though.

                – Win championships now with a killer 1B-3B-DH offensive core leading the way (cano can’t backup arod…).

                • Zach

I see what you’re saying, but how many ‘prospects’ break in as the full time DH for a championship club? Even if its next year, ARod still needs secodnary surgery- look at Mike Lowell coming off hip surgery this year, and ARod is Lowell’s age, not 5 years younger like Utley.

And you cant have a full time DH as your backup catcher, because if something happens to Posada during the game then you lose your DH and the pitcher has to hit

        • Joe B.

I know this is a pipe dream, but imagine if the Yankees land Mauer after next year. Montero could serve as the primary DH and Mauer’s backup when he needs a day off. The only logjam would be in 2011, when Posada is still under contract, Mauer would have been signed, and Montero would be ready.

          • VO

As much as I would love to see Mauer in Yankee pinstripes I don’t think that would happen unless we traded Montero, or changed his position. Even that would be a long shot because I don’t see them creating another huge contract for the payroll. Hal seems to be trying to stick to it. Also I don’t see the Yankees keeping Montero as a 21 year old DH.

          • Reggie C.

That’s why its a pipe dream.

I truly believe that once the Wilpons get their SIPA money and strengthen their money operations , the Mets could be a major major bidder for Mauer’s services.

            • pat

Lets hope so, that way we get to see him often and he’s not a redsock.

              • Reggie C.

The only thing i know is that the Mets have to do some MARQUEE move in the near future in order to stabilize a franchise that’s going no where. They’ve blown Carlos Beltran’s prime years.

                1. Trade Reyes to Boston and pick up a front line starter (Buchholz) and good hitter (Lars Anderson).

                2. Sign Mauer the day he hits FA.

                3. Sign Brad Penny or Garland or Washburn — somebody to fit that 3 spot.

                4. Draft BETTER!!!

                • Zach

                  1. Buchholz is a front line starter?
                  2. OK
                  3. Seriously?
                  4. OK

                • Reggie C.

Buchholz could be one. He should be a #2 on a NL squad. Its hard to say he’ll end up a #1, as the Mets already have Santana. Give Buchholz his due and recognize the potential.

I see a Santana-Pelfrey-Buchholz trio leading the way. Not bad imo. In my third point, i guess i meant to say #4 type. Perez could fill in that 5th spot. Bottom line: Mets could really use Buchholz. I guess they could live without my third point…..

Reyes should yield Buch and Anderson.

                • Zach

Giving Buchholz his due and potential is different then calling him a front line starter. He’s turning 25 and failed last year in Boston, where they dont boo you if you bat .200 or give up 5 runs in 3 innings.
And you expect him to come to NY and succeed?

teams with 120m payrolls trying to win a championship dont trade proven talent for 2 prospects to fill in their #3 starter and 1B holes

      • donttradecano

while not great, the improvement (even though SSS)could mean that it wasnt all Jesus’ fault for his defensive troubles. Could have been largely because of the pitchers down there not holding on runners.

we talked the other night about the phillies scouting wang but now it is being reported over at mlbtraderumors by Axisa that the rangers were as well…maybe i just missed the mention of the rangers the other night but i think they have a lot more intriguing prospects to make me consider moving wang if we could get real value.

    thoughts?

    • http://www.puristbleedspinstripes.com Rebecca-Optimist Prime

Problem is, you’d be selling WAY low on Wang.

      • Mike bk

i only said i sell if i get real value so its not selling low if i dont sell. i find out what the market will pay and go from there.

      • Reggie C.

Yup. You won’t get anyone of their top 5 prospects. No Smoak. No Andrus. No Holland. … It just wouldn’t be worth it.

      • pat

True, the rangers do have a boatload of good young outfielders though. Maybe one would look nice in left next year.

        • Zach

Are you talking about someone on their ML roster or a prospect?
Because no way Yankees trade Wang for a kid who’s never seen the majors before to take of LF next year

What bad contracts do the Rangers have? Eat some salary and get a Feliz or Smoak, heh. Totally doubtful, but who knows.

The Yankees really need to get some young OFers.

          • VO

Younger outfielders? After next year none of our outfielders are over 30.

            • Zach

Melky, Gardner, Swisher are not a starting OF on a championship team, sorry.

              • VO

What is your point then? I’m saying those are the outfielders we have locked up for next year. You said we need younger ones. Don’t forget Austin Jackson in all this.

                • Zach

My point your statement is misleading, ok those 3 OFs are under 30, doesnt mean they’re good enough to be a starting 3. And V’s comment is misleading too, younger OF doesnt equal good OF.

Even if you add Austin. You’d accept a Jackson-Gardner/Melky-Swisher OF next year?

I have a hard time believing that Wang would be traded during the season. His Value is low, thus the yanks wouldn’t get that much for him, and also the yanks still feel he can be a very effective pitcher. Offseason maybe, but I hardly doubt it during the season.

    • Mike bk

It also says Selig can block it from changing his status as being owned by the Nats.

As for Sano according to Jorge Anangure’s tweets, No we are not in.

@kileymcd RE: Sano. It’s musical chairs and only three teams left — two of them not big spenders, the other has never spent big in LA.35 minutes ago from web in reply to kileymcd

@kileymcd Plus with #Yankees and #redsox not involved, there will be no bidding war.

@kileymcd i’m not convinced Sano will get more than Mateo or Sanchez.

That said Cashman it was reported if it was 3 mil would do it so if he is talking about being less than Mateo’s 3.1 and less than the reported 3 mil sanchez got maybe we get back in.

      • Reggie C.

Is it this MLB investigation that might have potentially screwed Sano of $1 million?? If Sano didnt cooperate or have his papers in order then the fault lies squarely on his people. This is getting interesting….

        • VO

How old was he reported to be?

          • Reggie C.

            16. I mean he’s still listed at 16 , except the Twins are supposedly waiting on the results of an investigation (i assumed MLB-lead) confirming his age. If its down to the Pirates and Twins and whoever , then Sano could definitely be getting a much lower bonus than anticipated last week.

          • Mike bk

supposedly a bone graft was done that said he was 16 or 17. As for the money, its not the investigation its the fact that the teams i know of Minn and Pitt are not exactly big spenders and i think the 3rd is Balt who rarely spends in LA so there is no price driver. this is where it was supposed to be maybe up to 3.5 it was all the BS chatter that was saying maybe approaching the 4.25 of last year.

    • Zach

It’s a negociating tactic. Boras isnt going to have this 20year old kid renounce his US citizenship and move to Japan for a year

  • Reggie C.

At 9:15, i brought up a couple moves i think could help the Mets avoid irrelevancy. Anybody think the Mets could trade Jose Reyes to the Boston Red Sox in return of Clay Buchholz and Lars Anderson?

Mets could sorely use a potential front-line starter future and a 1B option for 2010.

    • http://www.puristbleedspinstripes.com Rebecca-Optimist Prime

Sox aren’t giving that up when they have Lowrie in their system.

      • Reggie C.

How about Buchholz and Lowrie then?? The Mets could use Lowrie to fill that vacated SS spot.

        • Reggie C.

And i think Buchholz + Lowrie is selling LOW on reyes too. The mets should get back a reliever too (ramon ramirez?).

        • Zach

Why are you obsessed with Reyes for Buchholz + another prospect?

This doesnt help the Mets. Buchholz is a 25year old prospect (1 year younger then Reyes is) and Lowrie isnt anything special.

          • Reggie C.

Buchholz is a talent. He’s dominating AAA. i fear he’ll be good enough to replace Dice-K in that 3 spot next season. If Buchholz gets shipped out of Boston that’s nothing but good news for the AL east.

            • Zach

and Ian Kennedy has a 1.96 career ERA in the minors.
talent doesnt automatically equal major league success. Santana-Pelfry-Maine-Perez- and signing a guy is a good NL rotation.

They need a corner OF and there’s plenty of those on the market this offseason, and there are also options for 1B in the offseason. Plus they have like 30m coming off their payroll.

Reyes is 26 years old and signed ridiculously cheap, no point in trading him

              • Reggie C.

A better comparison for Buchholz would’ve been Phil Hughes. Or maybe Joba Chamberlain. he’s in that level of potential. Who knows what Boston offered for Hanley Ramirez, but i believe that in order to fill that SS position with an All-star caliber player, Theo would give up his best farm hands.

For the Mets, Buchholz would fill their #3 slot and have the potential to supplant Pelfrey for that #2. Buchholz is going to get better, and i think he’d be effective right now against NL lineups. Its after Buchholz where it gets dicey. Obviously the Mets want a replacement for Reyes , so Lowrie or Lugo are options. Minaya would also demand to get a higher upside hitter = Anderson. It works. Get your corner OF via FA , or wait for F-Mart.

                • Zach

Lugo is an option? Have you payed attention at all this year?

                • Zach

I wasnt using Kennedy as a comparision, just talking about minor league success.

A 25 year old pitcher who still needs to learn how to get out ML hitters and everything is not what the Mets need. Especially when they’re giving up a 26 (not 29 or 32) but 26year old Reyes

                • Reggie C.

i cant believe i’ve written up these many posts trying to get both the Mets and …… RS …. better. I’m bored. Time to hit the gym and run.

      • http://www.puristbleedspinstripes.com Rebecca-Optimist Prime

Honestly, promotion to the majors is not absurdly out of the question, especially in September. He can learn a lot more–especially defensively–from Tony Peña and co. than he can at AAA.

        • Dorian

That is an outstanding point. I would want him around Tony Pena as much as possible at this point. Even if they don’t put him in a game they should get him up there to work with Pena and be around Molina, Posada, and Cervelli.

        • VO

That is true with Tony Pena, and Girardi but I think a call to the majors would be more next year. I think he will start in AAA next year but get a promotion if and when someone gets injured (Posada).

          • V

Screw the 40 man roster spot – we don’t need to protect some scrub reliever from the Rule V draft. Call him up 1 day before September 1st, so he’s postseason eligible. • http://www.puristbleedspinstripes.com Rebecca-Optimist Prime

Honestly, as I said above, it might be more likely that they promote him at the majors.

    Hey Guys,

I am a student (limited budget) and have seen a few offers for free ipods and iphones. Does anyone Know if any if the free IPhone or Ipod offers are actually legit? I don’t want to waste my time filling out a hundred surveys and was hoping to hear from someone who may have had some success with this.

    Thanks
