But Marte and Edwar blew it.

Pettitte limited the damage, but wasn’t good. It was just one of those nights, I guess. Technically, it’s not quite over yet. I’m not banking on a six-run comeback. But if it happens, by all means comment on it. Otherwise, we’ll crumple up this one and toss it into the loss bin.
Another game tomorrow. It’s what makes baseball great.

I believe in you Barnacle Man!
Another game
tomorrowthis afternoon.Next time can Joe just forfeit and everyone get a free whatever on their way out of the stadium from concessions?!
Congrats again to DJ.
thanks for effing up the game tonight marte
why did i click the marte/ramirez audio first? lol
Just listened to the boo thing like 15 times in a row….
man did this game end late for what!
Just got home. So besides the Jeter hit, what other good things happened tonight?
Arod hit a 3-run HR in the 1st inning.
Sweet. I love it when A-rod touches em all…
Listening to Jeter and then Jorge, Andy, and A-Rod, was very cool. It was obvious A-Rod couldn’t bring as much to the party as Andy or Jorgie, but he tried.
Makes you understand and appreciate some of the bonds these guys like Cano and Wang have with each other. It will definitely make me read DOTF just a tad differently.
you do know that a-rod has known jeter since 1992 and played against him for almost a decade before he became a yankee, right? Alex knows what jeter is all about, and what he said about him was really cool
I didn’t say it wasn’t cool. I am just saying Jorgie and Andy brought more to the party than A-Rod did.
I am well aware of Jeter & A-Rod’s on again/off again bromance. I remember doing a 180 on A-Rod because of some of the things he said about Derek back in 2001.
“He’s never had to lead,” Rodriguez was quoted as saying in April’s edition of Esquire. “He can just go and play and have fun. He hits second — that’s totally different than third or fourth in a lineup. You go into New York, you wanna stop Bernie (Williams) and (Paul) O’Neill. You never say, ‘Don’t let Derek beat us.’ He’s never your concern.”
Looks like I picked a solid game to miss.
Night all.
