Kennedy hit around in Surprise loss

By Mike Axisa

AZFL Surprise (7-3 loss to Scottsdale)
Brandon Laird: 0 for 4 – AVG plummets to .500
Colin Curtis: 1 for 2, 1 R, 2 BB, 1 K, 1 CS
Austin Romine: 0 for 2, 2 K, 1 PB - caught six innings
Ian Kennedy: 3.1 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 0 BB, 4 K, 1 WP, 11-5 GB/FB – 45 of 66 pitches were strikes (68.2%) … things unraveled a bit in the fourth, so he probably tired a bit

Still no Puerto Rican League rosters. One of these days…

I’m loving the K’s from Kennedy. He’s had them in the minors too. I really hope he can get something similar in the majors.

JMK aka The Overshare says:

I’d be thrilled if he were to achieve such high k rates in the majors, but I doubt his stuff projects that well.

Bo says:

Kennedy should have been traded 2 yrs ago when his value was at its peak.

He’s the proto NL pitcher.

Thanks, Bo! Always good to hear some negativity from you early in the morning.

Andy in Sunny Daytona says:

Actually, Kennedy was the victim of a poor second baseman last night. How he had 3 earned runs, is beyond me.
