NLDS Game Three Thread: Phillies @ Rockies

By

Ah Denver, the sunshine state. Snow postponed what would have been Game Three yesterday, but the Phillies and Rockies are right back out there today. With the series tied at one, someone’s going home tonight just one win away from a date with the Dodgers in the  NLCS. Pedro Martinez was originally supposed to take the mound for the Phightin’s, but instead it’ll be JA Happ (12-4, 2.93). The Rockies will counter with former AL East punching bag Jason Hammel (10-8, 4.33). TBS (surprise surprise) will carry the game. First pitch is set for 10:07pm ET. Chat about it here if you like.

Studying in Philly, so I would love for the Phils to face the Yanks in the World Series to see if I could catch a game. That’d be sick.

Yeah, I haven’t had anyone attempt to stab me in a while. Maybe I should check out Philly next weekend.

Hey, I’m stuck here either way, so might as well cheer for the opportunity to see the Yanks.

I don’t know who the hell is going to watch this shit! lol

Salty will. I might check it out. I mean, what else is on? No work tomorrow thanks to Columbus “finding” America and enslaving people. Really pumped about that.

        Ah, National Italian Day!

I know lineups don’t make that big of a difference but I definitely raised an eyebrow at seeing Torrealba hitting 5th.

    Denver is NOT a State.

I take it you’ve never seen Old School.

It looks very cold. People are dressed like it’s a football game. A Rockie/Twin World Series next year would probably set a record for low temps.

Holy Jesus — he’s using Lidge to close it out.

I too was hoping we would see Pedro close.

Pedro Martinez, Pedro Guerrero, Pedro Cerrano, WWF Superstar Pedro Morales, whoever…

I don’t think I coulda gone to Lidge in a tight spot after the season he’s had.

Then again, I also would have stopped batting Rollins leadoff a month ago or more…

It’s all good, though…if the Yanks meet the Phils in the WS, will be very happy to see Rollins leading off and Lidge closing.
