David Price vs. Cliff Lee in Game One. You can watch this one on TBS starting at 1:37pm, so talk about it here if you want.
TBS just said that CC was “all the Yankees have” and that if we lose tonight, we will automatically lose the series. Only The Yankees Have Issues!
Beat me to it. Curse you.
Quick, edit your post and make it seem like she didn’t.
It’s true. Joe Girardi has altered his playoff roster. Here’s the update:
Pitchers (1) :
Sabathia
Position Players (24):
Posada, Teixeira, Cano, Jeter, Rodriguez, Gardner, Granderson, Swisher, Berkman, Thames, Cervelli, Peña, Kearns, Golson, Nuñez, Moeller, Miranda, Russo, Curtis, Reegie Corona, Nick Johnson, Randy Winn, Jose Molina, Joe Girardi
It’s a bold strategy, Cotton. Let’s see if it pays off for them.
I love how Dennis Eckersley is asked a question about the Yankees like he could offer anything worthwhile on the topic.
According to Dennis, the Yankees have all but forfeited any game not started by CC, because, in his words, “That’s all they have”.
I see where Boston fans get their retardation from.
THERE’S ONLY ONE OCTOBER!!!!!
SU-FI!!!!!
/DaneCook’d
Does anyone else dislike Dane Cook? I can’t stand him.
Does anyone like Dane Cook?
That’s a far better question.
Not only does Dane Cook not make me laugh, he makes it impossible for me to laugh at funny shit that other people say for a solid two hours after having heard his “comedy”. He temporarily sucks the ability to enjoy humor out of my brain.
This.
And, oh yeah, http://www.google.com/search?h.....CD8Q1QIoAg
According to MLBN, if Liriano can beat Sabathia tonight, the Yankees WILL lose this series. We’re doooomed!
Err, TBS. Have to get used to seeing games on this network again.
TBS? I thought their only programming was an endless loop of the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
You are thinking of TNT. TBS just runs halfway decent syndicated re-runs and both Legally Blonde movies.
I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m rooting for the Rays all the way in this series.
I am pumped for a possible Yankees/Rays ALCS. That would be epic.
GOOOOO RAYS!
/ihaveticketstothealcsintampa’d
good, you bought them. Got my $5 ready in case the Yankees play the Rangers.
No, I want to beat up on Cliff Lee.
It’ll be a cold day in hell before I root for an AL East team.
Or recognize Missouri.
Or recognize
MissouriOhio.Ohio is a mythical land like Atlantis or Los Angeles.
Go Cliff Lee …time to earn your *future* pay check
WHo is a better matchup for the Yanks in the ALCS (assuming we make it).
I am torn, Texas has some good lefty pitchers while Rays know us very well.
I am not sure who I want to root for in the Rays-Rangers series, I do hope though that they decide this after 18 innings of game 5.
It doesn’t matter who we play. We’ll win.
(passes out bayonets)
Is Postseason.TV any good?
I don’t have cable so I need another way to see the games.
I assume that’s the playoff equivalent of MLB.tv. If so, yes.
I have MLB.TV and it’s awesome but I’m not sure this is the same thing.
Looking at the demo it doesn’t seem like it provides the cable feed just different camera angles.
The description says “Postseason multi-angle coverage is presented in conjunction with TBS and FOX as a companion to the live broadcast feed” which doesn’t sound promising.
I had Postseason.TV last year. There was no direct cable feed, but it did have many different camera angle feeds (albeit with game sounds only.) Video quality is fine. If they’re now offering a companion audio broadcast, be aware of any syncing issues – they’ve been known to have problems in the past.
I had it last year. It covers the game with weird angles , but it tells you the rough story I guess.
It’s not. You get ‘alternate’ camera angles, and you don’t get the commentary.
Okay, so that’s a great argument for it.
Why do they not have an MLB.TV for the postseason?
That’s moronic.
Obviously TBS bought the rights to these games. MLB is not interested in purchasing it from them, because who would really buy that? TBS available nation-wide. Only if you don’t subscribe to cable TV can you not see it. And what percentage of serious baseball fans don’t subscribe to cable? 1%?
TV networks pay big money for postseason rights and they don’t want to miss out on any viewers.
Pure speculation… $$$$
That was a rhetorical question. I get that it’s about $$$ and not enough viewers would actually use it but it’s still pretty annoying.
Looks like I need to look into cable.
I just searched Twitter from work and found a couple places online that may stream TBS. I can check them because I’m at work, but just an FYI.
I don’t have cable either. I’m just going to go to a bar.
TBS should offer a feed online. I would gladly pay them for it.
If you’re gonna have all these games on during the day, they really should be available to watch online.
Does anyone know if you can still get the gameday audio?
Yup..same as MLB TV. Signed up today.
Everyone else says it’s not similar at all.
The Trop is sold out! Well, that’s only if you don’t count the hundreds of nosebleed seats that are under a perpertual blue tarp cover. In Florida, they’re known as the “hurricane seats” – the only time I’ve ever seen them uncovered was during the 2008 World Series – and they are downright terrible to sit in.
I love the people who say this is the last chance for the Rays because they’re losing Crawford, Pena and maybe Soriano. Are they still going to have Price in that rotation? And add Hellickson? Desmond Jennings has huge upside…all they really need to add is a 1B/DH with power. Not exactly hard to come by. The AL East is going to be even more brutal next season.
…all they really need to add is a 1B/DH with power. Not exactly hard to come by.
It is if you don’t have money for one.
It is if you don’t have money for one.
This becomes a moot point when Adam Dunn signs a two-year, $3 million deal just because it affords him the privilege of playing for Joe “for the last time, I’m not the guy who hands out the f***ing turkey legs” Maddon.
I don’t think the AL East will be more brutal. They’ll probably fall of a bit, but not drastically because they still have good starters.
Losing Pena (not even sure they’ll lose him anymore) won’t be that big a deal. He was hitting 7th in the final series against the Yanks after guys like Dan Johnson and Matt Joyce.
Losing Soriano and Crawford will hurt though. That’s undeniable.
Is this an open thread? If it isn’t I apologize.
Boston Red Sox ownership group is purchasing Liverpool FC for $477 million.
I’m a Liverpool supporter. As long as they keep the budgets separate, I guess this is OK.
Haha
Never liked Liverpool, but it so fits into the John Henry MO.
I think Liverppol finished 7th or something last year and havent won the league in 20+ years. I guess Henry wants to become imortal in another city.
Only problem, Chelsea and ManU are going nowhere.
Is anyone surprised that Aybar was passed over in favor of Baldelli?
I’m slightly more surprised that Baldelli is actually walking on his own power.
Elvis Andrus had a .036 ISO this year.
Pena has a 0,20 ISO this year, last I checked. I can’t of anyone who has less power than him . Yes, I realize he is a sub.
Watching baseball in this muted, drab, listless St. Petersburg mausoleum could not feel any less like the playoffs.
(snores)
The fact that The Trop and its dumbass catwalks have opened up the possibility for there to be a do-over in the MLB playoffs is crazy. Although it is one less thing for Joe Maddon to whine about (or one more?)
Come on Price, throw Vladdy a 55 foot curveball!
Thanks for mentioning Guerrero’s home-road splits in that piece declaring “BAD VLAD IS BACK!”, TBS.
It looks like Vlad’s bat speed is back !
The difference between Vlad’s Home/Away wOBA split is only .031, not as bad as I expected. Difference of 22 for wRC+.
The Rays took Neimann on their roster and not Hellickson? Heh.
For realzzz?!?!
Fire Joe Maddon!
Maybe because Niemann recently grew his playoff GritBeard, and Hellickson is such a babyface?
But does he wear a hoodie sweatshirt?
Bret’s gonna be crushed.
They’re just saving him so he can start games 1, 4, 7 in the ALCS.
I know it’s late but Dane Cook did get to make out with Jessica Alba in a movie. Lucky bastard!
No one here is saying they wouldn’t consider trading their lives for Dane’s. But as far as his act goes, it’s pretty unbearable and unscrupulous.
Hey, if there are any other RABers in the sports bar in the Lubbock International airport (gate 5) watching the game, come find me and I’ll buy you a beer.
/safe bet’d
Dude I went to TTU!! But I’m not there now…
You could probably fly to Mexico from there. That’s international enough.
Yeah, my home airport in San Jose is also international because they fly to Mexico.
Fun Fact: Gary/Chicago International Airport in Gary, IN offers no international flights whatsoever.
They probably offer flights to Detroit, which means they’d have to fly over Canada. International!
Is Detroit even still part of the U.S.?
The entire city of Detroit is now owned by Little Caesar’s Pizza.
twitter.com/#!/tsjc68/status/26556482351
“They probably offer flights to
DetroitBuffalo, which means they’d have to fly over Canada. International!”Fixed.
You effing lucked out I can put ‘em down.
I asked around the bar, nobody knows you by this handle. I would have bought them a beer.
I have a confession to make. I made a pact with the baseball gods that if Price closed out Game 7 of the 2008 ALCS, I would not be upset when he beat the Yankees, and would root for him otherwise.
So…go Price!
You didn’t have your fingers crossed?! Thanks a lot.
Dude, the baseball gods aren’t that dumb. I had to mean it, and it worked out. I shudder to think what could have happened had I crossed my fingers.
Fair enough. What’s actually funny/sad is that I think the same thought crossed my mind at the time. I couldn’t stand the idea of the Sox going back to back.
Six two-strike foul balls for Price that inning.
/Phil Hughes’d
/Jorge Posada’d, because everything that ever goes wrong in any game is his fault.
he sux lol whatevs
Of course it’s his fault, after all he’s the most overrated player of all time*
*(unreal a Yankees fan would think that)
I seriously just fist-pumped.
What is wrong with me.
THAT’S BUSH LEAGUE, BRO!
Did they just say Tampa Bay was “victimized” by Derek Jeter?
Huh? Does it have to do with this?
http://www.tampabay.com/news/l.....026935.ece
Yeah. They also had thier facts completely wrong in saying that the acting job was the reason he was awarded first base when he was awarded first before the dramatics started. But becasue he is Derek Jeter, not to mention one of those evil, cheating Yankees,(sarcasm) this will live on forever.
Gag me…
What? did he prank call them or something
Oh look, a strikeout by Carlos Pena with a runner on third and one out.
So other teams do it too…
Glad were playing the twins but lee sucks lol whatevs
Well, the first horrid blown call of the playoffs didn’t take very long.
which one?
You mean other teams fail with RISP? THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE
“Back in beautiful St. Petersburg, Florida… (sigh)… and we’re indoors in climate control.”
Hah.
Amazingly, this week actually has felt nice.
Florida is such an overrated state. Quite literally, from April-September, it feels like triple digits with humidity during the day every fricken day, save for the days when there are monsoons instead of sunlight.
Finally, a week where there’s a nice chill in the air. Makes the loonies go crazy, but being the sadist I am, I enjoy that.
Yup. It’s a great day to head to the retractable-roof RaysField and catch a great playoff game under the cool October Florida breeze, eh?
What’s that you say? RaysField doesn’t have a retractable roof? And it doesn’t exist? They actually play in a soulless giant diaphragm case?
Huh. Well, That sucks.
This. This x a million.
Francouer’s current playoff OBP: 1.000
Truly, it is FRENCHTOBER.
(edit upgraded)
(agreed. It wasn’t too funny before)
Price aren’t exactly fooling these guys with his FBs , Time to mix in some secondary pitches.
Frenchy is teh awesome.
Anyone else miss half the Rays at bats with commercials in the middle of the inning? I hope this is fixed before the game tn.
Oh and I’ve never missed Michal Kay more than right now realizing I have to listen to this crap for the next month.
OO wow a playoff mohawk. How original!
Buck Martinez: “Bengie Molina is a clutch hitter.”
No, Buck, he’s just one of the few catchers who doesn’t suck asstastically with the bat at all times. I can see how you’d get confused.
Molina 2010:
WPA: -2.35
WPA/LI: -2.19
Clutch: -0.11
RISP: 90 tOPS+, 58 sOPS+
Late + Close: 84 tOPS+, 66 sOPS+
Team Behind: 84 tOPS+, 64 sOPS+
Can someone explain to me how he is clutch?
He had a big hit there in that one instance that just happened.
Maybe Buck got him confused with Buster Posey , the current backstop of your SF Giants !
You mean like Posada? Cus IDK if youve noticed, but posada sucks lol whatevs
Am I…missing something?

You’re welcome.

Heh. When I read that I imagined the poster doing a HUGE line of coke and then just going to town on the keyboard.
It might be just me, does this game have a totally unintense feel to it? Might just be the stadium though.
I can’t wait to see what happens for Game 2 after the Rays get blown out today.
How many Rays “fans” will show up? Fifty?
Fifty? That’s impossible! I thought there were only 25 in existence…
I assume they’ll each bring a friend.
Will the Rays be the first ever North American sports team to give away thousands of free tickets to a postseason game? I say yes.
Nah, the Jewish conspiracy will make sure people are there to see Shields.
Yup. He’s Kenyan-Arab, just like Obama.
Fact:
PresidentWilliam Howard Taft wasn’t even an American. The death panels are real.
I didn’t hear it live, but I heard the snippet of that the day after.
Awesome.
Wow.
That lady sounds like she just huffed a shitload of paint before calling.
This game is already totally bizarre
Now remember, Joba, if you give up two runs and end the inning with a strikeout, NO FISTPUMPS
Harold Reynolds being way too animated and Mitch Williams attempting to look smart in that MLBN commercial was hilariously awkward.
Go figure.
Cliff Lee vs. David Price. Pitchers duel to end all pitchers duels.
Bottom of the 2nd, none out, and the two of them have combined to give up nine hits. HAH.

/building the brand’d
Speaking of your site, I have a nice little fact you might enjoy…
Do share.
Former Yankees pitcher Chan Ho Park has given up a homerun to 3 current Yankees.
2 of them are Derek Jeter and CC Sabathia.
The other? Andy Pettitte…on the first pitch.
I guess you can predict this though, considering Park sucks. But it’s still interesting.
That’s a nice lil’ nugget.
(TWSS)
I though it was pretty ironic, just because 2/3 of those people are pitchers and isn’t anyone like A-Rod or Swisher.
Heh, I knew that actually. :p
Andy Pettitte singled on the first pitch against Cole Hamels in the 5th inning of Game 3, tying the game at 3 and propelling the Yankees to a go-ahead 5th inning which may have been the turning point of the World Series.
Who was on that Phillies team? Chan Ho Park.
Lincoln’s secretary? Kennedy.
Kennedy was shot in a Lincoln.
PresidentWilliam Howard Taft isn’t an American./this still isn’t old to me’d
ZOMG LEE GAVE UP A DOUBLE HE CANT PITCH IN THE POSTSEASON CASHMAN DONT SUGN HIM!!!!111!!1
Cashman will still sign him but Swisher’s still a 4th OF lol watever.
Did I do that right?
close. It’s supposed to be whatevs not whatever. Nice one though.
Is it just me or does Shoppach look a bit like Shrek?

wah wah wahhhhhhh (sad trumpet sound)
http://sadtrombone.com/
5k’s for lee through 2. This cliff lee guy is good at not imploding.
Oh please, if he was truly a good pitcher, he’d have given up a run in the last inning so he could be pitching to the score.
Nelson just said “Fuck you, Jobu; I’ll do it myself.”
/Posada’d
Was that in Posada restaurant territory? (listening on radio)
Absolutely. That was a majestic dinger.
Yeah, just a few feet short of where Jorge hit his, I think.
Nelson Cruz is fucking insane.
Anyone else really liking the TBS pitch track thing? It’s like watching the game and gameday at the same time.
Love it, you don’t have to wait for 3 replays to show different angles.
Unscientifically, I’ve found that it doesn’t quite match up with Brooks.
Oops, I think I just saw 20000 Rays fans checking on their TV guides for Golden Girls rerun.
This place could be empty by the 7th inning.
LOL at the lady with the cowbell and the lady sitting next to her with an automatic clapper thing.
The Rays are the only team to have a “Rheumatoid Arthritis” night.
they also have geriatric euthanasia night , but it was banned after Frankenstein won the race.
Death Race 2000′d
They also have Preparation H Seat Cushion Night, I think it’s in July.
another run or two and the stadium will be empty
$7.99 early bird special > Rays ALDS game
The Rangers have already scored more runs in this game then in their last two playoff series COMBINED.
I’d like them to get all this hitting and scoring out of their system before we have to see them.
/Late 1990′s Yankees dominance’d
CLUTCH!!!!
I think Bengie heard you Tommie!
Wow. Rangers playing the one at a time game here.
haha second two-out homer off price…
This game is hilarious. F off, Tampa.
Benji Molina just homered in a postseason game off David Price? You just can’t pre…ah the hell with it.
Final score predictions?
And there’s the “stung” joke with the Rays. SO CLEVER, ORSILLO.
I told you guys — see, this is why the Yanks didn’t want to face Lee twice in a 5 game series.
Our offense >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Rays offense
Lee, not to take any credit from him is pitching to an offense that was no-hitted by Edwin Jackson and Dallas Braden…
And almost no-hitted by Brandon Morrow (with 17K).
Hey-doesn’t anyone work around here?
Seriously, I guess the Rays and their 7 batters under .240 are done in this game..
Yay for working at a school that gets out at 2:05.
Yay for working a job where I have nothing to do until 6:00.
Poker >>>>>>>>>>>> working for the man ! suckers!
I ain’t in a regular biness…I’m in the RAB postin biness. And cousin, biness is aboomin!
Will Cliff Lee break 10 Ks by the end of his start? I say 12.
There may be something to this Cliff Lee guy.
Someone really wants to get paid
CLee will look so hot in pinstripes!
haha rays not playing good baseball today

LOOK OUT!!!
That one is GOOONE!
lol whatevs at lol whatevs ! , that make sense?
Don’t worry, Rays. You have BIG GAME JAMES coming up tomorrow.
And he’s only starting because he’s a jewish person.

Nice time to have your worst start of the season, David.
This time, the Price isn’t Right.
/bad jokes galore’d
The Price is Wrong, bitch!
/Happy Gilmore’d
And Vlad slays!
All those life-long Rays fans look so disappointed.
Oh wait, there are no life-long Rays fans over the age of 15.
But the depth of their passion can not be measured by time alone !!
Not their fault.
this game has a playoff-like atmosphere
a cribbage playoff
http://www.hiyoooo.com/
tip your waitress
Price is probably tired because he’d never thrown that many innings in the majors before. Here’s to hoping the same thing happens to Liriano tonight.
I like how ESPN and MLBN use that fact to predict that Hughes will be craptastic but conveniently overlook it for Price and predict he’ll throw multiple no-hitters.
Well:
Only the Yankees Have Problems
And we cheat, too. (Or so I’ve read on a few Twink blogs.)
we have no one but CC
we’re doomed I tell you, DOOMED!!!!
Yeah, our other two starters were 18-8 and 11-3 but somehow they’re just a couple of bums…
it’s Issues. :p
Not to mention how dominant Hughes was in his last start, against the greatest team of all time, no less.
but not hughes on saturday
But he was pretty much dominant down the stretch in September. I think it’s just a bad start.
How dare you refudiate my point!!!
Liriano threw more innings in 2008 (between majors and minors).
I agree with your bigger point, though.
Wow, didn’t think the Rays would get beat up like this. Not that I’m complaining, mind you.
This is a very good thing for the Yanks- ALCS vs. the Rays would be a season-ending disaster.
Nothing will be a season ending disaster.
Unless it involves some kind of champagne celebration tragedy.
Ramiro Pena suffered a through-and-through corkshot wound.
Nah. Harder than beating the Rangers but we can take ‘em.
So basically you’re saying the Rangers can beat the Rays, but the Yankees can’t beat the Rays, but the Yankees can beat the Rangers.
You logic, it makes no sense.
Sounds like a Bermuda Triangle to me.
Nice name.
What the… what
Buck Martinez is unbearable. My hatred for him is growing by the minute.
Can’t wait till Lee is in a Yankee uniform next year. Not looking forward to potentially having to face him in the ALCS then Halladay in the WS. If all goes well.
Nolan Ryan always looks deep in thought when they show him on camera. What can he possibly be thinking so hard about when he is just watching the games?
a way to keep Lee in Texas?
Prolly this…
Fondly reminiscing making Robin Ventura his bitch?
http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=aa1_1280296883
The fact that he wishes he wasn’t wearing his golden thong.
Whether or not it’s possible for a 63-year-old man to get on the 25-man roster…
I can’t wait for Clifton to wear pinstripes.
I’ve been banking on that for a while and will be heartbroken if it doesn’t happen.
has any team ever had two arkansans in the rotation at the same time?
Dizzy Dean and Lon Warneke of the 1937 St. Louis Cardinals.
Yes, b-ref’s play index can search for anything.
Clifton is a much better name than Clifford
130 millions dollars please … Mike , You can take that out of RAB’s petty cash fund.
We’ll have to liquidate our assets in China, but sure. I’ll make the call…
I dread Michael Kay calling him “Clifton Phipher Lee” every start, though.
Shudder.
I dread Michael Kay
calling him “Clifton Phipher Lee” every start, though.FTFY
The very idea of him struggling through the name “Phipher” is already making me twitch.
This is already preemptively annoying me. It was the first thing the Rangers’ radio announcers said come the bottom of the 1st of their broadcast. I bet Sterling and Kay both do it in 2011 if he’s in pinstripes.
He’ll probably say it, “Puh-hifer.”
And speaking of names, what is Brett Gardner’s middle name?
according to yahoo answers, either Brett Mickey Gardner or Brett Motherfucking Gardner
I’ll vote for Motherfucking.
Phifer is an awesome middle name.
I want Lee in pinstripes NOW (alright maybe in 3 months)
I’d take him now. He could be very helpful in the ALCS and WS.
Game: Blouses
ZOMG Lee is broken
I dont think questioning Lee’s injury history was terrible given the start of the year at Seattle and his 4 weeks mystery injury at Texas.
No, it’s not, at all. I was just making a joke about the fact that he gave up a HR to Zobrist.
There was no “4 weeks mystery injury.” He had back spasms, missed one start, then post a 1.93 ERA in his last four starts of the year.
I wrote that because Nolan Ryan complained to the Dallas press that Lee hid an injury and was not forthright abt his injury.
He never had a recurring injury that has shut him out for a long time. I’m willing to take that risk
But he has had nagging injuries.
He was waht for a month to start the year with a rib injury? He had back issues in Texas. I dont recollect the exact nature but i know he missed some time while at Philly or Cleveland as well. He is 32, much older than when we signed CC to that 7 year deal. My guess is that if we sign him to a 5/6 year deal it will be similar to what’s going on with Santana as well.
Just lost my online TBS feed due to copyright violation. Ugh.
Hope I can find another one for tonight’s game.
Apparently we lose the ALDS if we don’t win tonight with CC on the mound. That’s what the announcer on TBS just implied.
I don’t get why they say tonight’s game is a must win for the Yankees. Look at the pitching match ups.
Pettitte v. Pavano. Pettite has better numbers (minus wins) and Pettitte has some (if not THE) best postseason numbers of all time.
Hughes v. Duensing. Duensing only has 22 career major league starts, and although his numbers have been fantastic, most of them come from relief pitching. In 4 appearances Duensing has an 8.1 ERA against the Yankees.
Because most announcers are sadly uninformed about the teams they cover. And they hate the Yankees.
I don’t think the pitching matchups are as lopsided as last year, but I definitely think the Yankees have the upper hand in the first 2 games, while Hughes and Duensing is an even matchup.
I want for Feliz to give up some runs, but eventually win. Give the Rangers the win, but shake Feliz’s confidence.
Come on Feliz.
Can Feliz not handle the postseason yet?
(for clarification’s sake: joke)
I look forward to the millions of Big Game James references made before tomorrow afternoon’s game. And I also look forward to him giving up approximately 5 runs. Perhaps then there will be some talk that ends the theory that Only the Yankees Have Issues?
Rangers up 1-0. They’re going up against James Shields tomorrow, which probably means lots and lots of balls in the seats.
TWSS
Rays loooooooose!!!! But they’re gritty and guts (no offense) so they can come back from this. Not like those Yankees who have 1 good player inn CC Sabathia and a bunch of scrubs,
/MSM’d
I hear Girardi’s not even going to bother fielding a team. He’s just putting CC on the mound and if he doesn’t strike out 27, well…
Rays should be down by 2 after tomorrow. Down the Drain James.
I actually think the Rays win tomorrow in a slugfest but that’s just me. Shields won’t distinguish himself but he will get a WIN after going like 5 IP/6 ER/3 HR and the media will cry in joy all over him. Garza/Lewis is a toss-up, depends which versions of them show up.
No worries for the Rays. Their pitching is so great that they’ll just turn to another ace in Game 2.
Oops…
Not that I give them much chance, but it would be funny if the Reds blew out the Phillies today…
does everyone understand now why the yankees took a dive and got the WC instead of seeing Lee in a short series?
Francisco Liriano is also good at pitching, you know.
lirano can not hold Lee’s jock. We are talking about a pitching machine.
The Rays are too good to let this hurt them. They are a bunch of young, athletic, college kids who are going out there and having the time of their lives. They will easily bounce back from this.
Meanwhile, the Yankees are freezing their tails off in Target Field, and all their muscles are getting tight. This is a MUST WIN tonight. Pettitte, Hughes, CC (on short rest) and Pettitte again are just simply not enough to make up for one loss in October.
The Phillies just took one step closer to winning ANOTHER championship.
!!1!!11!1111!1!11!!!!11!!1!!1!!11!1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
/hyperbole’d
and your a fan of what team ?
Maybe I’m wrong but the Phillies haven’t even played game 1 yet.
