Two losses and a lot of rain

D.J. Mitchell makes an appearance in the In The Team Photo section of this week’s Prospect Hot Sheet. They say he “doesn’t get as much attention as some of his teammates, but his feel for pitching and changeup mean he’ll probably be a useful middle reliever someday.”

I’m setting the Over/Under on a Ramon Flores promotion at 3 weeks. What do you take?

  • CC’s third leg

Kanhle becoming the new D-Rob and Sanchez defensively sucks bawls. Look at all these past bawls

    worst DOTF ever

    • Ted Nelson

Short, but not unsweetened. Pitchers got roughed up at all 3 levels, but hitting prospects did well basically across the board.

So is Manny B bored at Double A? Considering his control issues at AA, it’s probably a good thing the Yankees didn’t rush him to the majors like some people wanted.

    • Adam B

Nice thing about Manny is that he’s still young, he has moved so quickly and has time to work on these things…

Nice guy Ortiz flipping out about being pitched inside again. What a douche. Watch the Player’s Union Rep show up for his press conference tomorrow.

    • Will (the other one)

He probably just needed a hug.

Gregg handled it poorly, but it is every pitchers right to throw inside and Ortiz doesn’t understand that

  • BigTimeBartolo

Mike, what’s your take on Claudio Custodio? Thanks

I’m gonna go get the papers, get the papers.

    • kenthadley

he started out very hot in DSL last year, then cooled down significantly. If he can maintain it for the entire year, he might be something.

  • Uke

Big sloppy can’t fight for shit hahaha

  • JohnnyC

Mitchell doesn’t get as much attention as his teammmates? From whom? You mean from Baseball America? The magazine in which that comment is printed?

    • http://www.riveraveblues.com Mike Axisa

Yes, which is why I wrote “They say he…” and included their quote with a link back to it.

      • Uke

pwned, the crazy amount of stupid posts I read from people here is unreal haha, not to take away from so many of the great posters though.

I think the Banuelos watch should be changed to the Betances watch. He’s had the better season.

    • CP

Such is the curse of the RAB prospect watch…

  • White Al Sharpton

Who is Tyler Austin and does he have a load of potential? I’ve never heard of him until a couple days ago

    • YankeeGrunt

He’s a solid prospect. He was a thirteenth rounder last year and had a rep for having plus plus power, as much raw power as anyone we had drafted in several years – Bichette and James from this year are comparable. Looking like he’s having a breakout season this year, showcasing a little bit of power, great BA, a little bit of speed, four walks is on the low side but its a very small sample size (so is all of it, for that matter). I don’t know what the bonus was on him but he’s still just 19. He’s versatile, having played both corner IF spots this year, but with a little bit of speed a corner OF spot could be in his future.

      • Sam

I think he signed for 150K.

  • icebird753

Is Tyler Austin a good prospect? Haven’t heard of him

  • Pounder

Sanchez is greasing the skids for a Montero trade, perhaps to the Cubs……..ummm.

    • Dave M

Who do you want back from the Cubs?
