Confirmed: Season over for Mason Williams
ByVia Josh Norris, top prospect Mason Williams will have surgery to repair damage to his left (non-throwing) labrum today. He is done for the season and hopefully will be 100% for Spring Training. There were some hints yesterday that he was going to miss the rest of the year with a shoulder problem, but now we have confirmation. The Curse of the RAB Prospect Watchâ„¢ strikes again, eh?

Bummer. At least it’s his non-throwing shoulder I guess.
New prospect watch?
I think we should prospect watch someone from Boston’s system.
+1
Or Ramiro Pena or better yet, some org filler-type player. Just not someone good!
New prospect watch, my vote Matt Barnes!
Maybe Xander Bogaerts?
Hopefully doesn’t impact his offense going forward.
Thoughts on where he starts next year? Continue at High A with a quick promotion possible?
I’d say it’s pretty possible.
Let’s bend the rules and watch Jurickson Profa for the rest of the season…
This. Forget about Boston, Texas is the team we need to try and cripple… Although I’d actually kind of like Profar to succeed so the Rangers will let Andrus walk after 2014. Like Mike, I’d love to replace DH with Elvis.

No yeah I meant sign Andrus to be DH
… Haha.
DJ might be DH by then. Unless hes blocked by ARod.
DJ might be DH by then, unless he’s blocked by DBag.
Is this the same level of surgery that Pineda had? I know he’s not a pitcher, non-throwing shoulder, etc., but I wonder to what degree the shoulder was damaged.
Yeah, I’m wondering what sort of effect his could have on his swing.
