Matt Eddy has a list of updated minor league park factors. High-A Tampa plays in a nearly neutral stadium (George M. Steinbrenner Field), but the other three full season affiliates are all in pitcher’s parks.
Triple-A Scranton was rained out. They’ll make the game up as part of a doubleheader on June 17th.
Double-A Trenton (6-3 loss to New Hampshire)
- CF Ramon Flores: 2-4, 1 R, 1 2B, 1 BB — gave Slade Heathcott the afternoon off
- 2B Jose Pirela: 2-5
- Tyler Austin: 0-4, 3 K — that’s ten strikeouts in 27 plate appearances so far (37%)
- C Kyle Higashioka: 1-4, 1 2B — have J.R. Murphy the afternoon off
- LHP Nik Turley: 6 IP, 10 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 1 BB, 4 K, 1 Balk, 5/2 GB/FB — 51 of 80 pitches were strikes (64%) … knocked around for the second straight start
- RHP Danny Burawa: 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 1 K, 1/1 GB/FB — 19 of 31 pitches were strikes (61%)
High-A Tampa (4-3 loss to Dunedin)
- CF Mason Williams: 0-4
- DH Angelo Gumbs: 0-3, 1 R, 1 K, 1 HBP, 1 SB — off to a pretty rough start
- LF Ben Gamel: 2-3, 1 R, 1 RBI — no longer has a double in every game this season
- C Gary Sanchez: 2-4, 1 R, 1 2B — second straight game with a two-bagger
- RF Eduardo Sosa: 1-4, 1 2B, 1 RBI, 1 K
- RHP Bryan Mitchell: 7 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 5 K, 1 HB, 10/4 GB/FB — only the second time in his career he’s completed seven innings in a start … he did it last May as well
Low-A Charleston (12-5 win over West Virginia)
- CF Taylor Dugas: 0-3, 1 R, 3 BB — been on-base 12 times in his six games
- SS Cito Culver: 1-5, 1 R, 2 RBI, 1 K
- DH Greg Bird: 1-3, 1 R, 1 RBI, 2BB, 1 K — got a nice little five games hitting streak going
- 3B Dante Bichette Jr: 2-5, 1 R, 2 RBI
- RF Yeicok Calderon: 2-4, 1 R, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 2 K
- 2B Claudio Custodio: 1-4, 3 R, 1 HR, 2 RBI, 1 BB — playing center field in his first game, now he’s at second
- RHP Cesar Vargas: 5 IP, 4 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 2 BB, 6 K, 5/0 GB/FB — 14/0 GB/FB in his two starts so far
