Update: Chris Stewart leaves game with left groin injury

By

10:46pm: It’s his left groin and he’s off for an MRI. Stewart said he didn’t feel anything pop, so I guess that’s good.

9:47pm: Chris Stewart left tonight’s game after the seventh inning with an apparent groin injury. He pulled up lame running the bases and was in obvious discomfort. Stewart did remain in the game to run the bases, but he was taken out between innings. As always, stay tuned for updates.

Way too many of these injury posts this season.

Whose the depth in Scranton? At MiLB.com I see Jeff Farnham and Bobby Wilson. Of course someone will need to go from the 40 man roster. Yuck all around.

They wouldn’t call up Murphy, would they? They need to put him on the 40 man roster in the off season to avoid rule 5, but I can’t imagine they want to bring him up this soon.

    J.R. Murphy….Come on down…

    Probably not of course…

But, for fuck’s sake this is getting ridiculous! How the hell are they in first place?!

    Gustavo Molina anyone?

bobby wilson’s no all-star but he could do better than .154/.214/.154 in the independent league. plus bo has caught several of our pitchers.

wait. you were kidding. now i get it.

  7. Robert says:

They have to open a spot on the roster for any catcher they bring up.Have seen at least 6 games in Trenton with JR Murphy and he is subject to rule 5 next year anyway so hope they give him the call. He has stood out in the games Ive seen this year.
If Montero can catch for Seattle than JR can back up for the Yankees.

    alfred molina?

  9. Cuso says:

Ben Francisco’s time has come. Bobby Wilson on the next shuttle up.

Its crazy that the Yanks are in first place with all these injuries. One of my really good friends is a diehard redsox fan, and all i heard last yr was about his teams injuries…lol Hmmm?
