Sucks about Encinas, any word who will take his spot?

  2. your mom says:

    DBJ heating up?

  3. Jon says:

When is Gary Sanchez moving to aa? I want to see him this season play in portland

  4. Bednarz42 says:

Where’s Matt Duran? Extended spring training?

  5. Ron says:

Another promising pitcher goes down, sigh. It seems like everyone the Yankees try to baby gets injured and fringe prospects pitch 7 inning with 100+ pitches and stay healthy. The worst thing you can do in the Yankees organization is show potential to be good.

    • Babying Bombers says:

I thought Patterson would change the pitch count disaster and let them pitch but early on it seems they’re babying them more. When are they gonna learn?

    • JobaWockeeZ says:

Injuries are unpredictable so the logical thing to do is the limit the chances of that. However I do find your last sentence somewhat valid. Our best guys were under the radar. From Cano and Wang to Nova, Phelps, DRob, etc.

  6. Seems like Refsnyder started to go cold once Gumbs came back. Maybe a promotion is in order? Both need reps at 2B.

  7. Wayne says:

There is a part of me that wants to see hughes do well tonight but a part of me that wants to see hughes get knicks out early to so that nuno better ready for the mets game by pitching early in this one in relief. Matt Harvey is going to be ready and pumped! Which game is that next week and is it at citi field or yankee stadium?

    • forensic says:

Wow, you’re apparently rolling tonight with 3 straight nearly illegible comments…

Anyway, you hope Hughes gets his ass kicked against a division rival that the Yankees would almost assuredly then lose, just so their 6th/7th starter can then get some work in to be a little less rusty for a game against a team not even in their same league??? And you don’t even know which game he’d be pitching or which stadium it’d be in???

And I won’t even mention what it may take to beat their pitcher anyway.

    • Nick says:

There’s (a very big) part of me that thinks that is ridiculous. The O’s are our direct competition for the division. The Mets are not.

  8. Wayne says:

Any chance mikey o’brien will still be on the yankees next year? Brett marshall and nova see what you could get for them on the trade market come july or offseason. One thing i like about Mikey O’Brien he has never been operated on unlike marshall and i think he phelps , nuno should be in our rotation next year especially if petite gets hurt or kuroda retires or if sabathia gets hurt for a period of time.

    • forensic says:

Putting Mikey O’Brien in the rotation next year is about all you need to see in this comment…

      • Robinson Tilapia says:

DoTF comment sections exist in an alternate universe where Joe could just, you know, pencil Austin Aune in the lineup tomorrow and everything would be just peaches.

  9. Wayne says:

outside of trading nova and marshall i would not trade any of the aa or aaa pitchers that i mentioned we are going to need them next five years with sabathia kuroda and pettite all aging. Plus wait for what you can get for José Ramírez and Rafael Depaula like a clayton kershaw or matt cain cause these guys look like they have the talent to be traded for kershaw or cain from what i have seen of them!

Best DOTF comment of the year? Decade?

And on a night that neither of them pitched either.

  10. Robert says:

Promote Gumps to Trenton,CJ Murphy to Scranton and Gary Sanchez to Trenton.
Its time to put these guys on the fast track.
