Love that they let Turley go 100+

Haven’t lost a game yet.. Could teach the big league club a few things.

Here’s a slightly off topic, crazy idea. If the Angels are selling low, would you buy Hamilton at a good price, and hope this year was just an off year? Even if he hits .230, he’d probably hit 50 bombs with the short porch, essentially what Granderson did last year. Especially with this A-Rod suspension thing they could probably afford his contract and still be under the limit

    • jjyank says:

No way. Even if the Angels eat half of the contract, he’d still be too expensive. Pass, pass, pass.

Unless DiPoto gets wasted and offers to eat 99% of the money and take a non-prospect back. But that won’t happen.

    • Robinson Tilapia says:

Not a place I’d want to put that much money.

    • YankeeFan says:

Outfield is 2/3 set already and that doesn’t even include the corpses of Ichiro and Wells. Much preferable to get Granderson to sign back on and then see how the trio of Slade/Austin/Williams progress. The outfield is one area where Yankees should be able to produce from within for next year and beyond.

    • forensic says:

Only if they throw in Pujols too so the Yankees can try to collect the full set of terrible contracts from the Angels.

  3. Billy says:

Didn’t Turley lead the Yankees. I get the fanboy crushes on Tyler and Mason but Turley pitched a great game!

  4. YES says:

I thought our Minor League teams were awful this year?

  5. Wayne says:

Nova gets hurt after going through a good stretch all the time. After every half he gets hurt. This is not my idea of developing starting pitching. I seriously hope we do not trade away our štarting pitching depth in minors this offseason. Give somebody like a shane greene And nik turley a chance next year please And keep José Ramírez at aa for 26 starts then see if he can cut it in aaa for the rest of the year then start him in aaa for 20 starts in aaa in 2015 then bring him to majors. By july of 2015 José Ramírez should be ready for majors And Rafael dePaula should be close to the majors or in aa. Sorry to think that far ahead but thats what yankees should Have done with Ramírez this year leading into next year!
