Rays outfielder Wil Myers was named the AL Rookie of the Year this evening, which is no surprise. He was the best candidate in a weak freshman class. Not a single Yankees player received a Rookie of the Year vote, first place or otherwise, which was expected. Their only rookies of note this past season were Adam Warren and Preston Claiborne, so … yeah. The full voting results are right here.
