The Bad Call That Helped Tino Out Of His Postseason Slump
Yanks reportedly sign righty David Hale to minor league deal

More sad news to pass along. Former Yankee Oscar Gamble passed away today. He was 68. Gamble played seven seasons with the Yankees (1976, 1979-84) and hit .259/.361/.496 (141 OPS+) with 87 home runs in 540 games. He played for six other teams in his career (Cubs, Phillies, Indians, White Sox, Padres, Rangers) but spent the most time with New York. Gamble was a regular at Old Timers’ Day and I know you’ll recognize his 1976 baseball card. Our condolences go out to his family and friends.

This is the open thread for the night. The Knicks, Nets, and Islanders are all playing, and that’s about it. Talk about those games or anything that isn’t religion or politics here.
