Keith Law (subs. req’d) wrote up a bunch of notes from a recent scouting trip. He says RHP Matt Sauer’s stuff has “backed up a little bit, to the point where it’s hard to forecast him as a starter,” which is a bummer. “That said, Sauer won’t turn 20 until January, and there’s plenty of raw material for coaches to work with here, if they can even slightly clean up his mechanics to allow him to throw better strikes and/or do so with less effort,” he added.
