We ♥ Neshek
ByPat Neshek, Minnesota Twins pitcher and blogger extraordinaire, is one of the five AL arms battling it out for the final spot on the All Star ballot. Amongst his competition is Red Sox hurler and Japanese import Hideki Okajima. In his most recent blog post (no permalink, scroll down a bit), Neshek writes, “We need everyone, all Minnesotan’s, all graphers, fans of baseball and yes everyone in Yankee Nation (and we know why!).” We can’t let a Red Sox pitcher get elected to the All Star Game can we? So go vote. Vote early; vote often; vote Neshek, friend of Yankee fans everywhere.

“We can’t let a Red Sox pitcher get elected to the All Star Game can we?”
LOL…yoo late. Two of them already have been.
As you said earlier…get over it.
Actually, catlady, only one member of the Red Sox was elected by the fans to the All Star team this year. The rest were chosen by the players or managers. But then again, I wouldn’t expect a Red Sox fan to understand a subtle difference – Or in this case, a not-so-subtle difference – between a fan vote and a player/coach selection.
Speaking of player/coach selection, how the hell did Manny — .285/.383/.468 11 homers and 43 rbi — get selected over Shef — .290/.401/.530, 18 homers,52 rbi?
The fewer Red Sox at the All-Star game, the better. Go Neshek. (Oh, and bloggers will earn my vote any day of the week. Unless they are Curt Schilling.)
I thought that red background looked familiar–last year I read Neshek’s blog when he got called up. A year later, he is on the All-Star ballot. Good for him.
Pitch In For Pat!
He’s amazing to watch and absolutely filthy.
Bat Girl breaks it down.
