the JoBA watch might have less than 24 hours left… who woulda thunk it back in april in A ball starting the year with a bad hammy…

    Let the stike outs begin

  2. Bill says:

McCutchen is looking good so far in AA. I hope he keeps it up as he is 25 and not getting any younger.

  3. rbizzler says:

Nice to see Pendleton back. Does anyone know if this is his first appearance of the year?

Of course, great news about Joba.

  4. The Scout says:

I’m pulling for Hoover, though he’s still a long shot. He had a very tough back injury, but at one point he was a hot prospect.

  5. Joseph P. says:

I’m 99.9% sure that this was Pendleton’s second appearance, rbizzler.

  6. C-Note says:

The Daily News is reporting today that they expect Edwar to be called up this week as well— wasn’t clear whether this was based on some insider info or just speculation… article did go on to say that the Yankees felt there is no way to get Farnsy traded so if Edwar does come up they speculated Bruney would be sent down… personally I probably send down Bower, Bruney walks WAY to many but at least he misses Bats, the two men Bower faced yesterday hit pretty solid line drives off of him.

  7. The Scout says:

I don’t like to judge a pitcher off his first performance in the majors this year. Brower deserves a bit of a shot — he has been effective in the past and this year at AAA.

  8. C-Note says:

THE SCOUT- I mos def agree, I would move Farnsy or Villone before I would Bruney, if it’s between Bower and Bruney I’d still take Bruney at this point , but I would like to see more of Bower myself- on the broadcast yesterday they said the book on him was that he can give you multiple days and multiple innings out of the pen, and a guy like that who throws stikes has value— this wouldn’t even be a question if Farnsworthless was the f*ck off my team

but I love the way that Cash is trying multiple internal answers to attempt to change the ‘pen

btw, a key fact was left out of dotf:

Prilys Cuello DHed and went 2-2 with a double, a 2-run HR, and a walk.

i got that from mvn, and that means that jesus montero got the hits and walks while catching. NICE!
